Coextruded, crosslinked multilayer polyolefin foam structures from recycled metallized polyolefin material and methods of making the same

A physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one polypropylene/polyethylene coextruded foam layer is obtained. The multilayer foam structure is obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.

Disclosed are apparatuses and methods for forming films having uniform thicknesses across the entire width of the film. The films are also disclosed. The apparatus for forming the film includes a first nip roller and a second nip roller, each of the first nip roller and the second nip roller being configured to compress the powder as it passes between the first nip roller and the second nip roller and thereby form the film, whereby in the absence of a force counteracting the pressure of the passage of the powder between the first nip roller and the second nip roller the first nip roller is deflected to a greater degree than the second nip roller. Furthermore, the first nip roller and the second nip roller are each associated with one or more eccentric bearings that rotate to apply force vectors to the first nip roller and the second nip roller.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING FUNCTIONAL-SUBSTANCE THIN FILM MATERIAL, FUNCTIONAL-SUBSTANCE THIN FILM MATERIAL, AND LAMINATE THEREOF

In an embodiment, a process for producing a functional-substance thin film material for which a required heating temperature for finishing is 100-130° C. is characterized in that a PP film 2 is releasably laminated to a surface of a PET film 1 with a non-silicone adhesive layer 3 so that the strength of adhesion of the PP film 2 by the non-silicone adhesive layer 3 is regulated so as to prevent the PP film 2 from suffering thermal deformation when a functional substance superposed in a thin film form on the other surface of the PP film 2 is heated to 100-130° C. in order to finally convert the functional substance into a functional-substance thin film material 4.

To provide a biaxially oriented polyester film that has extremely low content of antimony, excellent hygiene, few foreign substances, excellent transparency and heat resistance, and is excellent in printability, workability, and productivity. A biaxially oriented polyester film characterized by a content of antimony in the film of 10 ppm or less, a content of phosphorus in the film of 25 ppm or more and 75 ppm or less, an intrinsic viscosity of the film of 0.51 dl/g or more and 0.70 dl/g or less, and a number of defects with a size of 1 mm or more is 1.0 or less per 1000 square meters of the film.

DRAWABILITY ENHANCEMENT IN POLYMER THIN FILMS

A method includes applying a stress to a polymer thin film to stretch the polymer thin film along a first in-plane direction, and subsequently applying a stress to the polymer thin film to stretch the polymer thin film along a second in-plane direction orthogonal to the first in-plane direction to form an ultra-high modulus polymer thin film. Calendaring or hot pressing of the ultra-high modulus polymer thin film may improve its optical and/or thermal properties.

Biaxially oriented polyester film for metal lamination

The invention relates to a multilayer biaxially oriented polyester film comprising a base layer B, an amorphous outer layer A and a further outer layer C, where this polyester film is suitable for lamination with metal sheets. The invention in particular relates to a polyester film which comprises (based on the mass of polyester) from 2 to 15% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the base layer and which comprises more than 19% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the amorphous layer A, and which has a silane-based coating on the outer layer A. The invention further relates to a process for the production of these films.

FLEXIBLE AND TRANSPARENT POLYIMIDE LAMINATE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a flexible and transparent polyimide laminate and manufacturing method thereof. The flexible and transparent polyimide laminate comprises a conductive layer, an adhesive layer and a polyimide substrate. The conductive layer includes a plurality of metal nanowires, and is attached on the polyimide substrate by the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is an insoluble polyimide film and is polymerized by aromatic dianhydride and one of the following monomer: alicyclic diamines, fluorine-containing diamines, and the combination thereof.

SHEET/FILM FORMING ROLL APPARATUS, SHEET/FILM FORMING METHOD

According to one embodiment, a rotating state of a second motor is transmitted to a second roll as it is. A posture of a rotation central axis of the second motor is maintained constant. A changed state of the second roll is not transmitted to the second motor. Thereby, the second roll is rotated with timing identical to the rotating state of the second motor.
