METHODS FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL ORDERED POROUS MICROSTRUCTURE AND MONOLITHIC COLUMN PRODUCED THEREBY
20190077102 · 2019-03-14 ·

The present invention relates to methods for producing a three-dimensional ordered porous microstructure. In the procedure where a three-dimensional ordered microstructure is produced using a colloidal crystal templating process, the particles in the three-dimensional ordered microstructure is subjected to a deformation treatment, so as to effectively increase the contact between orderly arranged particles. The three-dimensional ordered microstructure thus produced is used as a template to create a porous inverse microstructure. The invention further relates to a monolithic column produced thereby.

A method of drawing different materials includes forming a first material into a preform body defining at least one channel extending therethrough having a first cross-sectional area. A first element formed of a second material is inserted into the channel and with the preform body creates a preform assembly. The first element has a cross-sectional area that is less than the cross-sectional area of the channel, and the second material has a higher melting temperature than the first material. The preform assembly is heated so that the first material softens and the preform assembly is drawn so that the preform body deforms at a first deformation rate to a smaller cross-sectional area and the first element substantially maintains a constant cross-sectional area throughout the drawing process. Upon completion of the drawing step, the cross-sectional area of the channel is equivalent to the cross-sectional area of the first element.

The polymerizable compound has a hydrazone moiety. The present invention also provides a polymerizable composition in which discoloration and reduction of aligning property do not easily occur. Furthermore, the present invention provides a polymer obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable composition containing a compound obtained by the production method and an optically anisotropic body using the polymer. The present invention provides a method for producing a polymerizable compound including a step of reacting a compound represented by General Formula (I-B-a) with a compound represented by General Formula (I-B-b) to obtain a compound represented by General Formula (I-C), and provides a composition which contains a compound obtained by this production method.

POLARIZER PROTECTIVE FILM, POLARIZING PLATE, AND DISPLAY DEVICE COMPRISING SAME

Embodiments relate to a protective film for a polarizer, a polarizing plate, and a display device comprising the same. The protective film for a polarizer according to the embodiments is improved in mechanical strength and minimized in rainbow strains by minimizing the difference in the orientation angle between the center and the edge of the film while generating a difference in the strengths in the longitudinal/transverse directions of the film. Hence, it can be advantageously used as a protective film for a polarizer.
