In order to enable improved dynamic adaptation to a ground profile in the case of a windrower, it is envisaged according to the invention that the pickup device (21) is vertically movable both relative to the transverse conveyor frame (31) and also relative to the main frame (2), at least in relation to a windrower vertical axis (Z)
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING HAYMAKING MACHINE INTO TRANSPORT POSITION
The invention relates to a method for adjusting a haymaking machine (1) into a transport position, which haymaking machine (1) has a main frame (2) and two side units (6) arranged to both sides on the main frame (2), each side unit having a boom (7), which in a side position extends sidewards along a transverse axis (Y) from an attachment region (3) of the main frame (2), and a cultivating unit (20), arranged on the boom (7), for field cultivation, said cultivating unit (20) being adjustable on the boom (7) between an inner position arranged relatively close to the attachment region (3) and an outer position that is further remote from the attachment region (3). According to the invention, in order to propose improved adjustability for transport in the case of a haymaking machine having booms, provision is made whereby, proceeding from a working position in which the booms (7) are in the side position, the following steps are performed: adjustment of each cultivating unit (20) relative to the main frame (2) into an upright position, at least in part by pivoting about in each case one unit pivot axis (A) which, when the booms (7) are in the side position, extends at least predominantly along the transverse axis (Y), adjustment of the booms (7) relative to the main frame (2), at least in part by pivoting about in each case one boom pivot axis (B), which extends at least predominantly along a vertical axis (Z) and is arranged in the attachment region (3), towards the longitudinal axis (X) into a longitudinal position, wherein the adjustment of the booms (7) is performed while the cultivating units (20) are at least temporarily in the outer position, and adjustment of the cultivating units (20) into the inner position after the adjustment of the booms (7) has been at least performed at least partially.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING A LIFT ASSEMBLY FOR A GRASS PICKUP HEADER
A control system for an agricultural harvester includes a crop inlet with infeed rollers for collecting crop from a pickup assembly connected to the harvester; and a lift assembly for moving the pickup assembly from an operational configuration, in which the pickup assembly is operable to pick up crop from the ground and to convey the picked-up crop to the crop inlet of the harvester, to a non-operational configuration. The control system includes a detector for detecting a foreign object in the collected crop; and one or more controllers configured to (i) receive a signal from the detector that is indicative of a foreign object in the collected crop while the pickup assembly is in the operational configuration; and (ii) control the lift assembly to raise the pickup assembly, away from the crop on the ground, to the non-operational condition, in dependence on the received signal.
AGRICULTURAL MACHINE
An agricultural machine including a frame, at least one operating unit connected to the frame, at least one wheel or crawler track rotatably attached to the frame to allow the movement of the machine on a supporting surface and a lifting unit operatively interposed between the frame and the wheel or between the frame and the operating unit, configured to vary the height of the operating unit with respect to the supporting surface of the machine. The lifting unit includes at least one hydraulic cylinder provided with a liner, a first and a second piston both slidingly housed inside the liner and arranged in series to define at least a first and a second chamber inside the liner, wherein the first and the second piston can be controlled independently of each other.
Windrow merger frame pivotable to headland position
A merger, with a supporting frame having a longitudinal member and crossmembers, with a wheeled chassis, with a drawbar engaging the supporting frame and via which the merger couples to a tractor, with pickup members for picking up crop, wherein one pickup member is accommodated on a first side of the longitudinal member and another pickup member is accommodated on a second side of the longitudinal member, in each case on a crossmember, with belt conveyors for conveying picked-up crop in a transverse conveying direction running transversely with respect to a longitudinal direction, wherein at least one belt conveyor is accommodated on a first side of the longitudinal member and another belt conveyor is accommodated on a second side of the longitudinal member, on the respective crossmember, wherein the drawbar pivots relative to the supporting frame for transferring the merger between a working position to headland or transport position.
WINDROW FLUFFING ROLL ASSEMBLY FOR AN AGRICULTURAL MACHINE
A mower-conditioner assembly of a self-propelled windrower includes a frame, a cutting mechanism coupled to the frame for cutting crop, a conditioner rotatably coupled to the frame at a location rearward of the cutting mechanism, and a fluffer assembly rotatably coupled to the frame at a location rearward of the conditioner. The fluffer assembly includes at least an elongated roll and a crop moving element. The conditioner crimps the crop after it is cut, and the fluffer assembly fluffs or moves the crop during operation.
Crop pick-up, agricultural equipment and method of ejecting a foreign object
A pick-up, an agricultural implement, and a method for ejecting a foreign object by the crop pick-up and the agricultural implement are provided. The agricultural implement comprises a crop inlet to collect picked-up crop. The crop pick-up comprises a reel with pick-up fingers to pick up the crop from the field, an auger to transport the picked-up crop to the crop inlet of the agricultural implement, and a driver. The driver rotates the reel and the auger in a pick-up direction and a collection direction for picking up and transporting the crop, and a retrieval direction for retrieving already collected crop when a foreign object is detected in the collected crop.
