Mold block return
A two stage mold block transfer station is used the exit of a moving mold tunnel to quickly move mold blocks to a clear position relative to the molded product. Once in the clear position the mold block is rotated and provided to a return drive moving the mold block back to the inlet of the moving mold tunnel. By moving the last mold block of the moving mold tunnel primarily away from the longitudinal axis of the mold tunnel less mold blocks are required. Various arrangements for moving of the mold blocks can be used achieve this advantage.
Pipe with embedded wire
A corrugated pipe includes a corrugated pipe body circumscribing a hollow conduit and including alternating ribs and valleys extending along a longitudinal axis between a first end and a second end thereof. An electrically conductive wire is embedded in the corrugated pipe body, so that the wire spans adjacent ribs and valleys and extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis between the first and second ends.
Conduit resonator
A method for making a substantially tube-shaped conduit resonator having a plurality of plastic component parts, the conduit resonator having a tubular hollow body and at least one tubular molded part arranged inside the tubular hollow body and connected to the tubular hollow body, the method comprising the steps of: making a molded part via an injection molding process in an outer tool having an inner mandrel; injecting the hollow body between the molded part and a surrounding outer tool wherein the molded part along with the inner mandrel serve as an inner tool; and, thereafter, via a blow molding process, seating the hollow body on the inner wall of the outer tool and reshaping the hollow body on the outer wall of the molded part and bonding the hollow body, in part, to the outer wall of the molded part.
CONDUIT AND METHOD OF FORMING
A thin ribbon spirally wound polymer conduit and method of forming, wherein a helical reinforcing bead is interposed adjacent overlapping layers of ribbon. Further, a method of continuously forming spirally wound conduit wherein a sacrificial layer, preferably having a different base polymer to that of the conduit, is first applied to the former before the conduit is formed overtop.
Openable corrugated hose, cable harness and method for producing an openable corrugated hose of this kind
The present invention provides an openable corrugated hose for accommodating lines, comprising: a first corrugated hose shell, a second corrugated hose shell, a joint section, at which the first corrugated hose shell and the second corrugated hose shell are each connected to one another pivotably in a first end section, and a lip section, which is provided on a second end section of at least one of the corrugated hose shells, wherein the lip section is manufactured from a different material than the corrugated hose shells.
HELICALLY WOUND PLASTIC TUBING WITH VARIABLE PROFILE THICKNESS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Plastic tubing including a thermoplastic ribbon helically wrapped and heat bonded to itself to form a tubing wall and a thermoplastic reinforcement located helically around and along the tubing wall. At least a thickness of the tubing wall or a size of the thermoplastic reinforcement is varied along the tubing wall.
Stretch hose and hose production method
A method of continuously forming an axially extensible and retractable hose comprising the steps of continuously forming an axially extending helix with axially spaced reinforcing coils from extruded thermoplastic material having a uniform cross-section along its length; and continuously bridging between an adjacent pair of the reinforcing coils With a continuous web of extruded thermoplastic material of substantially uniform width and relatively thin cross-section to form a continuous, helically extending sidewall, with the web having one of two opposite edge regions bonded continuously to a relatively flat outer bonding surface of a radially outwardly located portion of one of the adjacent pair of reinforcing coils, with the web having the other of the edge regions bonded continuously to a relatively flat inner bonding surface of a radially inwardly located portion of the other of the pair of reinforcing coils, and with the edge regions continuously radially separated from each other by the helix.
DUAL PIPE MANUFACTURING CELL
A corrugated pipe manufacturing cell is configured to produce multiple corrugated pipes in parallel. The manufacturing cell may comprise an extrusion system that is capable of providing multiple independently regulated flows of plastic piping material to multiple die heads. The multiple die heads may feed a set of mold blocks having dual cavities for forming he multiple corrugated pipes. The pipe manufacturing cell may be converted between a first mode for producing large diameter single corrugated pipes, and a second mode for producing smaller diameter, plural corrugated pipes.
OPENABLE CORRUGATED HOSE, CABLE HARNESS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AND OPENABLE CORRUGATED HOSE OF THIS KIND
