RESIN RICH POLYUREA-BASED INTEGRATED EXTERNAL LAYER FOR REINFORCED THERMOSETTING RESIN PIPING PROTECTION
This disclosure describes a reinforced thermosetting resin piping system that is protected from external impact and UV damage by an outer polyurea-based layer. The embodiments described herein can be favorably used for underground and aboveground applications. In some implementations, an RTR pipe includes a core layer that includes a resin and fibers, an outer layer that includes a polyurea-based layer, and an interface layer between the core layer and the outer layer. The methods described herein also outline the process of producing the pipe structure.
PEX expansion tool
An expansion tool includes a housing, a motor supported within the housing, a mandrel, and a drive mechanism configured to convert a rotational input from the motor into translational movement of the mandrel. The drive mechanism includes a cam and a drive shaft coupled to the cam. The expansion tool further includes a frame including a hub and a neck extending from the hub and having an opening. A working element is coupled to the neck and has a plurality of jaws movable from a closed position toward an expanded position in response to movement of the mandrel from a retracted position toward an extended position. The mandrel extends through the opening to engage the jaws, and the drive shaft is rotatably supported by the hub.
PEX expansion tool
An expansion tool includes a working element configured to expand an end of a tube. The working element includes a plurality of jaws movable between a closed position and an expanded position. The expansion tool also includes first mandrel with a first contact surface and a second mandrel coupled to the first mandrel. The second mandrel has a second contact surface. The first mandrel and the second mandrel are movable together relative to the jaws between a retracted position and an extended position. The first contact surface and the second contact surface are engageable with the jaws to move the jaws from the closed position toward the expanded position in response to movement of the first mandrel and the second mandrel from the retracted position toward the extended position.
Dip-coating method using supporting liquid, and fabricating method of hollow tube using the same
Disclosed is a dip-coating method as a method of coating an outer surface of a target mold including steps of: preparing and putting a supporting liquid in a container; applying a coating material to the target mold; dipping the target mold in the supporting liquid; shaking the target mold surrounded by the coating material in the supporting liquid; curing the coating material surrounding the target mold in the supporting liquid; and taking out the coated target mold from the supporting liquid.
Method of installing liner assembly for pipeline repair or reinforcement, and liner assembly and steam generator for same
A method of installing a liner assembly for pipeline repair or reinforcement includes: pulling a prepared liner assembly into position in the pipeline, the liner assembly including a tubular liner wetted with a curable compound; introducing fluid into the inflatable bladder to bring the tubular liner into firm contact with an interior surface of the pipeline; flowing the fluid continuously through the bladder and discharging the fluid into the pipeline, while maintaining the liner assembly in an inflated condition; measuring a flow rate and a temperature of the fluid entering the bladder; calculating a time period sufficient for the tubular liner to cure based on: an amount of heat required for curing, based on dimensional information of the liner, and the measured flow rate and temperature of the fluid; and maintaining the liner assembly in an inflated condition for the time period sufficient for the tubular liner to cure.
DEVICE FOR WELDING PLASTIC TUBES
A tube welder including a clamp block configured to receive a tube, a carriage movable along a first axis, and a slide rail coupling the clamp block to the carriage such that the clamp block is configured to move along a second axis between the carriage and the clamp block. The tube welder further including a spring biasing the clamp block in a first direction along the second axis and a linkage configured to move the clamp block in the first direction and in a second direction along the second axis, opposite the first direction.
Pipe bell end ring flare system and method of use thereof
A pipe bell-end ring flare device for use with a mandrel to form bell ends with a flared outer edge in plastic pipe sections either as part of the pipe manufacturing process or subsequent to the manufacturing process. The flared edge creating a wider bell end opening to make it easier to insert a non-bell end of another pipe into the flared bell end.
Annular manifold for an extrusion head for producing a tubular moulding from a thermoplastic material
Annular manifold for an extrusion parison head for manufacturing a tubular moulding from a thermoplastic material includes an accommodation body with a first accommodation chamber with an inner surface, a first distribution sleeve with an outer surface, which has a distribution groove, wherein the first distribution sleeve is accommodated in the first accommodation chamber, as well as an annular first distribution chamber, which is formed between the inner surface of the first accommodation chamber and the outer surface of the first distribution sleeve, and which ends in an annular gap opening, wherein the outer surface of the first distribution sleeve has a single helical distribution groove with more than one winding and less than 1.25 windings.
RESIN CONNECTOR CONNECTION STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A resin connector (10) includes a tubular connector main body portion (11) which is formed to contain a reinforcing filler in a main portion base material resin, and a tubular connector end portion (12) which is formed of a end portion base material resin without containing the reinforcing filler or containing the reinforcing filler at a lower proportion than the connector main body portion (11) and is joined to the connector main body portion (11) to constitute a tubular end portion. The resin tube (20) is formed of a material having a higher absorption rate of a laser beam than the connector end portion (12) and is fitted to the connector end portion (12) to be welded to an inner peripheral surface or an outer peripheral surface of the connector end portion (12) and not to be welded to the connector main body portion (11).
SWEEP ELBOW PIPE CONNECTOR WITH OPTIMIZED FLOW PATH
An improved arcuate sweep elbow pipe connector section having an increased flow capacity and is a replacement for conventional ninety degree elbows as part of the piping system used to deliver water from a source to a fire sprinkler head. The arcuate sweep elbow pipe connector section is integrally formed at one end with a first connecting section and integrally formed at a section end with a second connection section. The connecting sections are positioned ninety degrees relative to each other and the arcuate sweep elbow pipe connector section optimizes water flow through both connecting sections.
