Mechanically attaching articles made from composites has problems due to the difference in properties of the composite in the x, y planar direction and the z perpendicular direction, this results in different properties between the composite and the attachment member such as differences in coefficients of thermal expansion which can weaken the joint further leading to differences in moisture uptake which can further reduce the strength and robustness of the joint. The invention relates to the selection of the position of a joint in order to reduce such problems and to operating the moulding process in a way that improves the provision of mechanical attachments such as bolt holes.

A vehicle seating system may include a seat part having a trim material positioned over a base material. A method for producing the seating system may include configuring an attachment arrangement to have an adhesive material and a non-adhesive material bonded to the adhesive material. The method may also include molding the base material onto the non-adhesive material such that a surface of the adhesive material faces outward away from the base material. The trim material may be disposed over the base material such that a back side of the trim material is adhered to the adhesive material.

In a method of manufacturing a front pillar, a resin layer is formed by discharging a transparent resin from first nozzles of a 3D printer and discharging a supporting material from second nozzles of the 3D printer, while moving the first nozzles and the second nozzles in a direction corresponding to a length direction of a front pillar. Afterwards, the first nozzles and the second nozzles are moved relatively in a direction corresponding to a transverse direction of the front pillar and in a direction of moving away from the resin layer. By repeating the forming of the resin layer and the relative moving of the first nozzles and the second nozzles, the resin layers are layered in the direction corresponding to the transverse direction of the front pillar such that the front pillar is manufactured.

At least one overlay overlays the displayed video images to guide the driver during the hitching maneuver. The at least one overlay aids in guiding connection of the trailer hitch of the vehicle to the trailer tongue of the trailer.

The process for producing an automotive glass with a member comprises bonding together an adhesion surface of an adherend and an adhesion surface of an automotive glass using an adhesive, and then curing the adhesive using a superheated steam generator, thereby attaching the adherend to the automotive glass; wherein the superheated steam generator comprises (1) a boiler part for generating steam, (2) a superheating unit for superheating the steam generated in the boiler part, and (3) a superheated steam vessel equipped internally with one or more heaters and one or more superheated steam outlets for discharging the superheated steam supplied from the superheating unit; and wherein the step of curing the adhesive is performed by covering the adherend placed on the automotive glass with the superheated steam vessel, spraying the superheated steam from the one or more superheated steam outlets to the adherend, and then spraying dry gas.

A method for producing a metal-plastic composite part having a plastic component and a metal component. The metal component is arranged in an injection mold such that the plastic material of the plastic component can be injection molded over the contact face of the metal component. The plastic component is injection molded, wherein some of the liquid plastic material penetrates into the undercuts of the microstructure or encloses the same. The plastic material of the plastic component is cooled to form an interlocking and/or friction connection between the plastic component and the metal component.
