ARTICLES WITH ONE OR MORE VIEWABLE OBJECTS THEREIN
An article includes at least first and second members. A decorative object is within the second member. Interlocking features are adapted to removably interlock the first and second members together. The interlocking features include a channel and a rail that are complementarily shaped so that the rail is receivable within the channel to removably interlock the rail with the channel. At least the second member is formed of a translucent or transparent material so that the decorative object within the second member is visible through the member.
Embossed and Hot-Melt Laminated Multilayer Composite Film
A multi-layered composite film is provided that includes immediately consecutive and mutually bonded layers A-B-C: A: on the visible side, a polymer layer comprising 1 to 100% by weight of extrudable thermoplastic polyurethane-containing polymer and/or ionomer; B: a tie layer comprising one or more modified plastics for the tie; C: on the substrate side, a decorative layer;
wherein the layered composite is coextruded from the layers A and B and hot-melt laminated with the decorative substrate layer at a temperature above the fusion temperature of the layered composite, while simultaneously pattern(s) is/are plastically embossed on the visible side of the multi-layered composite film. The multi-layered composite films may be used as a floor covering, wall panelling or furniture film. A method for manufacturing the multi-layered composite films is also provided.
Edge trim for pieces of furniture
An edge trim for pieces of furniture, including a meltable layer, is described. The molecular structure of the meltable layer contains both polar and non-polar parts. By way of a non-limiting example, an edge trim for pieces of furniture having an exposed edge of wooden or wood substitute material is described, comprising a molten layer and a structural layer, wherein the structural layer and the molten layer are connected in an adhesive bond, wherein the molten layer is made of a material that is chemically modified such that polar and non-polar components are found in a single molecular structure, wherein the molten layer contains energy absorbing additives, wherein the energy absorbing additives of the molten layer are selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, metal phosphates, metal salts of organic anions and combinations thereof.
HIGH FLOW ROTOMOLDING COMPOSITIONS, PROCESSES THEREOF, AND ARTICLES THEREFROM
Compositions may include a polymer melt blend composition prepared from two polyethylene copolymers having different densities, wherein the polymer melt blend composition possesses improved flowability and impact resistance for low thickness rotomolding applications. Low thickness articles may include a polymer melt blend composition prepared from two polyethylene copolymers having different densities, wherein the articles possess improved finishing properties. Rotomolding processes may include melt blending from two polyethylene copolymers having different densities, pulverizing the melt blend, and rotational molding the composition thereof.
Method and device for anchoring an insert in a structure by using a vibration device
A device for joining material by anchoring an insert comprising a first material in a structure comprising a second material is provided. The first material is solid and comprises thermoplastic properties and the second material is solid and is penetrable by the first material when in a liquefied state. The device comprises a vibration device being configured to transmit vibrations to said insert to cause at least partial liquefaction thereof and being arranged to move, relative to said structure, along an insertion direction (ID) to insert said insert at least partly into said structure, a contact sensor being connected to the vibration device and being adapted to move together with the vibration device along the insertion direction (ID), the contact sensor having a sensor body being adapted to detect contact with said structure. A controller is further connected to the contact sensor and adapted for receiving a contact signal from the contact sensor indicating that the sensor body has come into contact with said structure.
MOLDING LINE AND MANUFACTURING APPARATUS THEREOF
A molding line and a manufacturing apparatus thereof are disclosed. The molding line includes a line body extending along a first direction. The line body includes a first and a second modeling layer part and a connecting part. In a cross section perpendicular to the first direction, the first and second modeling layer part extend along a second direction, the first modeling layer part is located at an outer side opposite to the second modeling layer part, and the connecting part is connected between the first modeling layer part and the second modeling layer part and obliquely intersects with the second direction. An inwardly recessed molding groove is provided at a joint of the connecting part and the first molding layer part or/and the second molding layer part. The disclosure has advantages of providing a molding line with more stereoscopic and aesthetic visual effect and a manufacturing apparatus thereof.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING ACCESSORIES FOR WASHBASINS AND SINKS IN GENERAL, PARTICULARLY OF THE TYPE OF COVERS AND SHELVES
A method for providing accessories for washbasins and sinks in general, particularly of the type of covers and shelves, that includes the following steps: providing a first mold part which reproduces in negative form the visible surfaces of at least one accessory; providing a second mold part which reproduces in negative form the hidden surfaces of the accessory; mating the first mold part with the second mold part; and injecting material in the melted state into the cavity defined between the first mold part and the second mold part. The method also includes the steps of solidifying the material, and opening the first mold part and the second mold part, with consequent extraction of the at least one accessory.
Edge-banding apparatus and method
An edge-banding apparatus is provided and configured to apply an edging strip having a heat activated layer to a substrate or work piece. The apparatus uses localized heat generated from a controlled flame from combustible fuel to apply heat to the edging strip to active the heat activated layer.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PANEL, A PANEL AND FURNITURE COMPRISING A PANEL
A method of manufacturing a furniture panel includes placing the frame on a top of a mold, the frame at an outer edge being formed with a protrusion; shaping the plastic blank sheet by vacuum forming such that the plastic blank sheet wraps the frame and the mold; demolding and trimming, so that the trimmed plastic blank sheet wraps the protrusion of the frame and the frame is embedded in the trimmed plastic blank sheet. The method is efficient, implementing the process of wrapping a frame within a plastic panel in a simple fashion, and the panel formed smooth in profile. The panel is resistant to deformation and has a prolonged service life.
SWIVEL GLIDE SYSTEM
A swivel glide is disclosed herein. The swivel glide can include an upper member coupled to a leg of a furniture and a lower member coupled to the upper member via a ball and socket joint. Both the upper member and the lower member are manufactured via injection molding methods. In one example, a cavity side mold and a core side mold can be coupled together prior to injection molding the upper member. Once finished, the molds can be separated and the upper member can be removed from the molds. In another example, the lower member is injection molded and the upper member is injection molded on top of the lower member.
