Composite element for protection devices of parts of the human body
A composite element for the realization of protection devices of parts of the human body includes a matrix, a reinforcing element, at least partially embedded in the matrix, wherein the reinforcing element has at least one opening shaped so as to define an undercut between the matrix and the reinforcing element, such undercut being suitable for determining a mechanical constraint between the matrix and the reinforcement element.
Composite sporting equipment
A sporting equipment is disclosed. The sporting equipment may include a barrel, an action connected to a base end of the barrel, and a stock connected to the action opposite the barrel. At least two of the barrel, the action, and the stock are fabricated from a plurality of fibers.
Athletic band with removable module
A device for monitoring athletic activity of a user. In one example, the device has a sensor, and executes a calibration process using data received from the sensor to determine a correct positioning of the device on the user.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FEATHER-FILLED ITEMS OF CLOTHING
A method of manufacturing feather-filled items of clothing includes the following steps: preparing at least one mold provided with first concavities of shape substantially complementary to a respective padded cambered region of at least one portion of the item of clothing to be obtained; and associating a first sheet of deformable material with the mold. The method further includes deforming the first sheet against the mold so as to obtain, on the first sheet, second concavities that substantially correspond to the first concavities of the mold. Then, each second concavity of the first sheet is filled with down, and a second sheet is anchored to the first sheet. The semi-finished product is removed from the mold.
Systems and methods for customization of objects in additive manufacturing
Embodiments of this application relate to systems and methods which allow for 3-D printed objects, such as eyeglasses and wristwatches, for example, to be customized by users according to modification specifications that are defined and constrained by manufacturers. These modification specifications may be constrained by the manufacturers based on factors relating to the printability of a modified design.
ADDITIVE COLOR PRINTING USING MULTIPLE COLOR GRAPHIC LAYERS
Methods and systems are provided for color printing. A three-dimensional object can be printed onto an article using the methods and systems. The three-dimensional object can include a lower color graphic layer printed onto an article, one or more transparent structural layers printed onto the lower color graphic layer, and an upper color graphic layer printed onto an uppermost layer of the one or more transparent structural layers. The upper color graphic layer and the lower color graphic layer collectively visually depict a color graphic image.
System and method for manipulating color changing materials
Systems and methods of manipulating a color displayed by an article of wear comprising iron oxide colloidal nanocrystals arranged within chains are described. Steps may include forming the article of wear from a raw material that include the chains of nanocrystals, applying a magnetic field to the raw material, applying energy to at least some of the chains of nanocrystals to soften materials within the raw material immediately surrounding the chains of nanocrystals to which the energy is applied, adjusting a strength of the magnetic field to control the color displayed by the raw material, removing the energy to allow the materials within the raw material immediately surrounding the chains of nanocrystals to harden and fix a location of the nanocrystals within the chains, and removing the magnetic field.
LIQUID-IMPERMEABLE STITCHING METHOD FOR SEAM OF VAPOR-PERMEABLE VIRUS-BARRIER FABRIC
A fluid impervious stitching method for a seam of a vapor-permeable virus-barrier laminate. The laminate comprises: at least one thermoplastic resin fiber layer; at least one vapor-permeable virus-barrier thermoplastic elastomer film layer; and a bonding layer located between the two layers and formed of an adhesive capable of being fused with the two layers. In the stitching method, overlapping or stacking is performed to form a seam, and heat sealing is performed on the laminate at the seam. The temperature of heat sealing is higher than the melting point of a material layer having the highest melting point in the laminate, but lower than the temperature at which perforation or decomposition occurs in any material layer in the laminate. The heat-stitched seam has excellent windproof, vapor-permeable, virus barrier and liquid-barrier performance, has a smooth appearance without wrinkles, and feels soft. Also provided is a protective textile product prepared by means of the stitching method.
Lower roller structure of a hot air welder
Proposed is lower rollers of a hot air welder, and more particularly, to a lower roller structure of a hot air welder, which includes a first lower roller unit installed on a worktable to be pivoted vertically and a second lower roller unit installed on a main body to be slidably moved in front and rear, such that a welding operation of flat fabric and a welding operation of a cylindrical shape can be performed in a single hot air welder through alternate use of the first and second lower roller units.
ANTI-ABRASION COATING METHOD AND APPARATUS
A protective device for enhancing the durability of a substrate, and a method of applying the protective device to the substrate is disclosed herein. In one exemplary embodiment, the protective device may be comprised of a barrier or bonding component and a transfer component removably attached to the bonding component. When applied to an article via heat and/or pressure, such as an article of clothing, the protective device of the present invention can provide anti-abrasion and/or enhanced wear capabilities in desired areas. The protective device could be applied to those portions of the article, such as the knee areas of pants or elbow areas of shirts, to reduce or slow down the wear and tear typically associated with their use and extend their useful life.
