Net Attachment System
A net securing system and method of securing the net including a blow molded part with a plurality of holes, channels, and vertically tapered clips. Each of the plurality of vertically tapered clips is spaced apart from a central vertical axis of the holes at a distance greater than the hole width. In many embodiments, the net securing system has at least one protrusion on the inner surface of the vertically tapered clip. The net securing system secures a sports net when part of a net is inserted through the hole, around the vertically tapered clip and pinched within the channels. The net securing system may also include a backboard, a base connected to the backboard by a support rod, an attachment support connected to the support rod, a rim, and a net. Also disclosed is a method of forming the net securing system.
Method and apparatus for extrusion of thermoplastic handrail
A method and apparatus for extrusion of an article is provided. A die assembly can apply flows of thermoplastic material to an array of reinforcing cables to form a composite extrusion. A slider fabric can be bonded to one side of the composite extrusion. After exiting the die assembly, the slider fabric can act to support the extrudate as it passes along an elongate mandrel, which can cause the base of the slider fabric to change shape from a flat profile to the final internal profile of the article. The extruded article can then be cooled to solidify the material. The die can include cooling for the slider fabric and means for promoting penetration of the thermoplastic into reinforcing cables.
INDIRECT PRINTING SYSTEM AND RELATED APPARATUS
Some embodiments relate to printing system is described that has an intermediate transfer member (ITM) in the form of a seamed endless belt for transporting an ink image from an image forming station, at which an ink image is deposited on ITM, to an impression station, where the ink image is transferred onto a printing substrate. Two drive members are provided for movement in synchronism with one another. Rotation of the drive members during installation of a new ITM serves to thread the strip through the printing system by pulling the strip from its leading end. Alternatively or additionally, indirect printing system comprising the ITM and an image forming station at which droplets of ink are applied to the ITM to form ink images thereon is disclosed. One or more blowing mechanisms (e.g. associated with the image forming station) are disclosed herein.
FABRIC
A fabric clothing, in particular a press felt, for use in a machine for producing a fibrous web, contains a woven fabric strip having interwoven longitudinal threads and cross threads, as well as having a first and a second longitudinal end. The two longitudinal ends of the woven fabric strip are connected to one another in a connection zone. Provision is made that the two longitudinal ends are welded to one another by a transmission welding, in particular by a laser transmission welding.
CONTINUOUSLY CONVEYING PASSENGER TRANSPORT SYSTEM, WHICH CAN BE WALKED ON, HAVING A CHARGING POSSIBILITY FOR MOBILE DEVICES
The present application relates to a continuously conveying passenger transport system which can be walked on and is designed as an escalator or moving walkway and a mobile device charging device for wirelessly electrically charging at least one mobile device during a passenger transport.
Apparatus for threading an intermediate transfer member of a printing system
A printing system is described that has an intermediate transfer member in the form of a seamed endless belt for transporting an ink image from an image forming station, at which an ink image is deposited on the intermediate transfer member, to an impression station, where the ink image is transferred onto a printing substrate. The belt has along its edges formations of a greater thickness than the belt. The formations are received in channels to guide the belt and maintain the belt under lateral tension. Two drive members are provided, each located within a respective one of the channels. The two drive members are connected for movement in synchronism with one another and each has a respective laterally projecting gripper shaped for form locking engagement with the formations on a leading end of a strip from which the intermediate transfer member is to be formed. Rotation of the drive members during installation of a new intermediate transfer member serves to thread the strip through the printing system by pulling the strip from its leading end.
Method for the Ultrasonic Welding of a Strip
The invention relates to a method for the ultrasonic welding of a strip consisting of a plastic material for the production of cigarette products, in which method the strip has two free ends which are heated in a connection region by means of ultrasound and joined together to form a closed strip. Ultrasound at a frequency of more than 22 kHz is used.
INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER MEMBER
A heat-curable tape, a kit, and a method for connecting ends of an elongate belt to form an intermediate transfer members suitable for use with indirect printing systems. The kit includes an elongate belt and the heat-curable tape. The kit can include a crimping pin. The method includes using the heat curable tape to join ends of the elongate belt at a seam. A heater is used, in a printing system, for heat-curing the heat-curable tape onto the free ends of the elongate belt so as to form the intermediate transfer member.
Seam for Endless Fabric Belt
An endless fabric belt having a seam region, the seam region comprising: a) machine direction (MD) threads; b) cross-direction (CD) threads interwoven with the MD threads; and c) termination zones distributed throughout the entire seam region, with each termination zone comprising two ends of an MD thread; wherein: a plurality of the CD threads are fusible, with the fusible (F) and non-fusible (N) CD threads distributed in a pattern throughout the seam region such that in a repeating unit of the pattern, the ratio of F threads to CD threads is at most 0.75; and a plurality of the termination zones further comprise at least one fusible CD thread attached to the MD thread in the termination zone.
