Station for heating thermoplastic sheet-like blanks for thermoforming lines
A station for heating thermoplastic sheet-like blanks for a thermoforming line includes a heating carousel which can rotate continuously about a central axis and which has a number of heating heads radially spaced apart from the central axis. Each heating head is adapted to receive at least one respective thermoplastic sheet-like blank at a first peripheral region which is outside the carousel, to retain the at least one blank during the rotation of the carousel while supplying heat to it, and to release the at least one blank to a second peripheral region which is outside the carousel and is angularly spaced apart from the first region.
METHODS FOR DISPENSING AND ADHERING HOT MELT ENTRAINED POLYMERS TO SUBSTRATES
Disclosed are an entrained polymer or an entrained polymer composition, and a method for forming and adhering an entrained polymer structure to a substrate using the entrained polymer or an entrained polymer composition. The method includes providing a substrate configured to receive application of a molten entrained polymer. A particulate entrained polymer in molten form is applied in a predetermined shape, to a surface of the substrate, to form a solidified entrained polymer structure on the substrate. The entrained polymer includes a monolithic material formed of at least abase polymer and a particulate active agent. The surface of the substrate is compatible with the molten entrained polymer so as to thermally bond with it. In this way, the entrained polymer bonds to the substrate and solidifies upon sufficient cooling of the entrained polymer.
MOLDING SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
A system for molding an object includes an articulated mold having an axis and a plurality of mold portions configured to collectively define a molding cavity for shaping the object when arranged in respective molding positions. The system includes a plurality of actuators, each operatively coupled to a respective mold portion and configured to move the respective mold portion along the axis from the respective molding position toward a respective ejecting position for releasing the object. The system includes a controller in communication with each of the plurality of actuators and configured to independently activate each of the plurality of actuators such that one of the plurality of mold portions moves along the axis from the respective molding position toward the respective ejecting position while at least one other of the plurality of mold portions remains stationary relative to the object in order to at least partially support the object.
RESIN-MADE CONTAINER MANUFACTURING METHOD, MANUFACTURING DEVICE, AND METAL MOLD UNIT
A manufacturing method of a resin container includes: a first injection molding process for injection-molding a first layer of a preform by using a first resin material, the preform having a bottomed cylindrical shape and including a groove that extends in an axis direction; a second injection molding process for injecting a second resin material into the groove of the first layer, the second resin material having a color that is different from a color of the first resin material, and laminating a second layer on an outer peripheral side or an inner peripheral side of the first layer; and a blow-molding process for blow-molding a preform that includes multiple layers and has been obtained in the second injection molding process in a state where residual heat at a time of injection molding is contained, and manufacturing the resin container having a vertical-striped color pattern formed by using the second layer.
System and method for forming containers using blow mold and electric heating elements
A system for forming a container includes an injection station configured to inject a liquid material into a mold to form a preform. The system also includes a forming station including an apparatus for forming a container. The apparatus includes a blow mold configured to receive the preform and inject air into the preform to form the container. The blow mold includes an inner mold surface. The apparatus also includes at least one stretching rod configured to contact the preform in the blow mold and stretch the preform. The apparatus further includes electric heating elements coupled to the blow mold and positioned adjacent the inner mold surface to heat the inner mold surface. The system further includes a removal station configured to release the container from the system.
MOULDING UNIT WITH BISTABLE MAGNETIC DEVICE
The invention relates to a unit for molding containers, which comprises two mold supports, a device for locking the mold supports in the closed position, and a bistable device which comprises a fixed element and a mobile element able to move between two stable extreme positions. The mobile element comprises a mobile magnetic dipole, and the fixed element comprises a fixed magnetic dipole, the fixed magnetic dipole applying a magnetic force from a distance to the mobile magnetic dipole in order to force the mobile element toward one or other of its two stable extreme positions.
METHOD FOR ANGULAR INDEXING OF A PREFORM
A process for angular indexing of a pre-form having a body and a neck. The process includes a step of marking the neck of the pre-form which consists of production of at least one reference point on the neck of the pre-form. The process also includes a step of a heating station taking charge of the pre-form, during which the pre-form is transported along a heating course by a support unit, known as a spinner, which makes it possible to turn the pre-form around its axis, and during which the body of the pre-form is heated. The marking step is carried out during the step of taking charge, when the pre-form, supported by a spinner, travels along the heating course.
Injection-molded composite construct
A frame is injection molded onto a group of panels to form a container. The panels extend at least partially around, and at least partially define, a cavity of the container.
Method for producing a container
A method for producing a thermoplastic container (1) for gases or liquids. First, in an injection mould having a first (28) and a second mould (29), in a first position providing each a cavity (34) for an upper (2) and a lower shell (3), producing the shells in parallel. Next, opening the mould, the shells (2, 3) remaining in a respective mould. Then, turning or shifting at least one of the two moulds such that the concave interior sides of the shells are aligned against each other and closing the mould, so that the edge regions (7, 8) of the shells come into face-to-face contact. Injection material is injected into a cavity (49) between or adjacent to the edge areas (7, 8), forming an all-round welded seam (11) between the upper part (2) and the lower part (3). Finally the mould is opened and the at least one container is removed.
