Multilayer Film Having Excellent Recoverability
The present disclosure provides a multilayer film comprising a resin composition layer containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with an ethylene unit content of 20 mol% or more and 60 mol% or less and an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with an ethylene unit content being more than the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, and a thermoplastic resin layer.
PACKAGE
A hybrid package (10) is provided and comprises a wall (20) formed from a paper or paper-based material and a frame (15) formed from a plastics material. The frame (15) includes a step which is positioned against a free edge of the wall, whereby one or more exposed edges of the wall are protected by the frame.
ANTIMICROBIAL/ANTIVIRAL POLYAMIDE FILM COMPOSITIONS
An antimicrobial film comprising antimicrobial film comprising from 50 wt % to 99.99 wt % of a polyamide composition, and from 10 wppm to 6000 wppm of zinc (and/or copper) dispersed within the film; wherein the film demonstrates: an antimicrobial efficacy to Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli log reduction greater than 2.0, as determined by ISO 22196 (modified), and a slow rate puncture resistance greater than 1.5 N/μm as measured according to ASTM F1306.
System and apparatus for forming a collapsible structure made from expandable material
A mould for forming a collapsible container from an expandable material, the container comprising, at least a base and two pairs of a side walls extending at right angles from opposing sides of the base, the mould comprising: a first mould member and a second mould member movable with respect to each other between an open and a closed moulding position to define a mould cavity; and a plurality of anvils mounted on a rear surface of at least one of the first mould member and/or second mould member, each anvil being movable so as to be extended into the mould cavity so as to form one or more hinges in the expandable material at predetermined locations within the mould cavity; wherein the mould cavity defined by the first mould member and the second mould member is a three-dimensional representation of an inside-out configuration of the assembled container.
Contact Lens Packaging
Packages, systems, and methods of the present disclosure are generally directed to the use of side gating in injection molding to form packaging for contact lenses. As compared to gating along a top surface of a contact lens package, the use of a side gate in injection molding to form a package for contact lenses may significantly reduce the time required to cool plastic in the injection mold, thus offering potential to reduce the overall cycle time for the injection molding process and increase fabrication throughput of the package.
Pitch changing device, and molding device provided with same and molding method
A molding device suitable for performing at least one of injection molding of preforms and blow molding of the preforms includes a pitch changing device including: N holding units capable of holding the preforms and arranged at a predetermined pitch in a predetermined direction, N being inter equal to or larger than 2; a coupling unit coupling the holding units adjacent to each other such that the pitch is changeable; a drive unit configured to generate a predetermined drive force; and a drive force transmission unit configured to transmit the drive force to each of one end-side and the other end-side, in the predetermined direction, of the coupled N holding units. The one end-side and the other end-side are configured to be moved in the predetermined direction by the drive force to change the pitch.
Deep-drawing apparatus, packaging machine having a deep-drawing apparatus and method for operating the deep-drawing apparatus
The disclosure relates to a deep-drawing apparatus for deep-drawing a continuously fed film web, an associated packaging machine, and a corresponding method. A cyclically sequenced forming station, which runs along from a start position to an end position and runs back from there to the start position is provided, wherein individual format plates are sequentially firstly connected up to a forming vacuum device and then with a following holding vacuum channel. The forming vacuum device is part of the cyclically moved forming station. The holding vacuum channel includes two interlocking telescopic channel portions, a first telescopic channel portion being part of the cyclically moved forming station, and a second telescopic channel portion being mounted statically relative to the fixed machine frame.
Apparatus and method for forming plastic preforms into plastic containers with two preform stores
Provided is a device for forming plastic preforms into plastic containers, having a feed device for feeding the plastic preforms to the device, at least one first preform store, a multiplicity of plastic preforms being arranged unsorted in the preform store, and having an alignment device for bringing the plastic preforms into a predetermined position before feeding them to the device. The device includes at least a second preform store, wherein a plurality of plastic preforms of exactly one production batch can be accommodated in each preform store.
Lightweight Polymeric Container Finish
A polymeric container including a base, a body, a finish, finish threads, and a tamper lip. The finish threads are at an outer surface of the finish, and are configured to cooperate with closure threads of a closure to secure the closure to the finish. The tamper lip extends from the outer surface of the finish, and is configured to replace the support flange during handling, and to cooperate with a tamper band of the closure. A recess is below the tamper lip. The recess retains the tamper band below the tamper lip when the closure is removed from cooperation with the finish. A gripper ring is between the finish threads and the tamper lip. The gripper ring is configured to cooperate with a gripper for grasping the finish.
USE OF MIXTURES OF WATER AND ESSENTIAL OIL FOR SEPARATING MULTILAYERED COMPOSITES FOR THE SEGREGATED RECYCLING OF POLYMER/METAL FILMS
The invention relates to the use of mixtures of water and essential oils selected from the group consisting of phenols, phenylpropanoids and furanocoumarins, for separating multilayered composites for the segregated recycling of polymer/metal films.
