COMPRESSION MOLDING ASSEMBLY AND METHODS FOR MOLDING A THERMOPLASTIC BLOCKER DOOR
A compression molding assembly for molding a honeycomb core, including a plurality of cells defined by a plurality of walls, of a blocker door is provided. The compression molding assembly includes a ram plate comprising a plurality of openings defined therethrough and a plurality of core inserts coupled to the ram plate such that the plurality of core inserts are configured to form the honeycomb core of the blocker door. Each core insert is removably coupled with a respective opening of the plurality of openings such that each core insert is configured to form a respective cell of the plurality of cells.
INSULATED FIBER REINFORCED DOOR PANEL AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
An insulated door panel comprises a shell having spaced first and second exterior panels and frame members adjacent edges of the panels, a plurality of stiffeners in a shell interior portion extending along a length or width of the panels, and a hardenable insulation material creating a bond between the exterior panels, stiffeners, and frame members in the shell interior portion. The stiffeners comprise a thermally non-conductive fiber reinforced polymer. The hardenable insulation fills substantially all of the space between the adjacent exterior panels, stiffeners, and frame members. The door panel also comprises end cap members composed of thermoplastic polycarbonate material, and has openings therein to receive the ends of the stiffeners.
Impact resistant door facing, method of forming impact resistant door facing, and door formed therewith
The present invention is directed to an impact resistant door facing. The facing includes a rectangular sheet of molded hardened polymeric material having first and second opposing major surfaces. A mat having a continuous structure is integrally molded into the sheet. The mat is sufficiently porous to allow the polymeric material to permeate the mat prior to the polymeric material having hardened. The mat is disposed within the sheet so that at least one of the major surfaces is unbroken. The present invention also relates to a method of forming the disclosed door facing, and a door formed therewith.
Modular door lite components
Modular components of modular door lite frame systems are disclosed. In some cases, a modular door lite frame system includes matching first and second modular frames, one or more modular male alignment members, and one or more modular female alignment members. In some cases, the modular alignment members can be coupled to modular frames of various sizes. In some cases, the modular components can be formed by casting ABS between no more than two opposed mold portions.

In some cases, the modular alignment members can be coupled to modular frames of various sizes. In some cases, the modular components can be formed by casting ABS between no more than two opposed mold portions.
Livestock Confinement Pen
A free-standing plastic livestock confinement system includes hollow plastic panels assembled together to provide interconnected walls that create confinement areas. One of the walls provides a door opening and a door that can be closed across the opening. The door is a hollow plastic panel with an opening for an animal to place its head through for access to food. The door is molded with a bucket holder and the opening in the door over the bucket holder. The bucket holder is recessed such that a bucket received in the bucket holder will extend partially into the confinement area.
Method of Installing a door protection plate and tool therefor
A method of installing a substantially rectangle plate, and in particular a protection plate, to the face of a door, as well as a tool for use in practicing such method.
Belt molding and method for producing same
A method for producing a belt molding includes: inserting an insertion portion of an end cap into a molding body such that the insertion portion faces a facing portion of the molding body while the facing portion is positioned on a vehicle interior side relative to the insertion portion; and forming a protruding portion in the molding body. The protruding portion protrudes on a vehicle exterior side relative to a vehicle interior side surface of the insertion portion. The protruding portion is formed by deforming a portion of the facing portion which is closer to the lid portion of the end cap relative to the catch surface.
Impact resistant door skin, door including the same, and method of manufacturing an impact resistant door skin from a pre-formed door skin
An impact resistant door skin, a door including the same, and a method of manufacturing an impact resistant door skin from a pre-formed door skin are provided. The method includes the steps of providing at least one preformed door skin and applying adhesive to a rear side of the at least one preformed door skin. A fiberglass mesh mat is pressed onto the rear side of the at least one preformed door skin. Then, chopped glass fibers coated with adhesive are sprayed onto the rear side of the at least one preformed door skin using a chopper gun to form a layer of chopped glass fibers on the fiberglass mesh mat. The performed door skin may be a molded door skin having at least one recessed panel formed therein.
DOOR SAFETY SHIELD AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
A door safety device generally includes a door attachment portion, a spanning portion, and a door jamb attachment portion. The spanning portion can be operatively coupled to the door (and/or door jamb) attachment portions by one or more living hinges, optionally with tambour portions disposed between the spanning portion and the door (and/or door jamb) attachment portios. The tambour portions can also include one or more living hinges. The living hinges can have a range of motion of less than 180 degrees, for example less than 175, 170, 165, or 160 degrees. A method of manufacturing a door safety device includes creating a score line along a surface of a substantially planar sheet of material, and snapping the sheet along the score line so as to create a hinge. The snapping creates a plastic deformation of the material in the region of the score line.
