FILTER FOR A VENT OPENING OF A CONTAINER
20240043186 · 2024-02-08 ·

A filter for a vent opening of a container comprises a housing and a filter element which are integrated by means of an injection molding process. A first part of the housing is formed by injection molding, after which a solid filter element and the first part of the housing are placed in a mold such that a circumferential edge portion of the solid filter element and the first part of the housing are adjacent to each other along a filling region. Material is injected against the solid filter element and the first part of the housing at the filling region, from which material a second part of the housing is formed after curing, hence forming the housing from the first and second parts of the housing and the filter element from the solid filter element. The filter element is rectangular.

Process for manufacturing fully recyclable mining screens
11890785 · 2024-02-06 · ·

The present invention provides an environmentally-friendly, fully recyclable composite mining screen which has sufficient rigidity to replace existing metal and metal covered plastic mining screens. The inventive composite screen insert contains stiff reinforcing fibers (glass, carbon, etc.) and exhibits the rigidity of metal and metal-covered plastic mining screen inserts so as to minimize deflection in use. The inventive mining screen is also completely recyclable because at the end of its useful life, the broken and used screen can be ground into polymer particles and the particles incorporated into new screens or other parts.

Method for manufacturing a flexible skin having at least one insert adhered thereto

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a flexible skin which has at least one insert adhered thereto. In a first step, the skin is molded on a mold surface. In order to adhere the insert to the skin, an opening is first made in the skin giving access to the back face of the insert. The insert is positioned with its back face against the front face of the skin and an adhering layer is provided which is adhesively connected to the back face of the skin layer which surrounds the opening in the skin layer and, through this opening, to the back face of the insert. The adhering layer is preferably produced by applying a layer of a hardenable material, in particular a curable polyurethane composition. Since the back face of the insert engages the front side of the skin penetration of hardenable material to the front face of the insert is avoided.

Carbonated beverage nucleation accessory

I disclose a method for increasing a quantity of gas bubbles in a head of foam of a beverage in drink ware, comprising providing and sinking a portable nucleation accessory into the beverage. The nucleation accessory features a plurality of nucleation sites etched into a smooth outer surface of the accessory. Each nucleation site comprises a pit which pulls and aggregates gases out of solution until the gases forms a bubble. When the bubble becomes sufficiently buoyant, it detaches from the nucleation site and rises to an upper surface of the beverage. A plurality of nucleation sites producing bubbles in this way build a head of foam on the upper surface of the beverage. Nucleation sites may be arranged to appear as lines or areas to a naked eye.

An attachment component which includes a body, the body having attachment means intended for allowing the attachment component to be assembled with a part including complementary attachment means, an insertion tip arranged at one end of the body so as to allow at least one portion of the body to be inserted through a part made of composite material, an axial abutment intended for halting the insertion of the body through the part made of composite material, and a breakable portion inserted between the insertion tip and said end of the body, the breakable portion being configured to break when a predetermined force is applied to the insertion tip with a view to detaching the insertion tip from the body.

Sonotrode for an ultrasound welding system and method for welding a connection element to a component
10421237 · 2019-09-24 · ·

The invention relates to a sonotrode for an ultrasound welding system for welding workpieces (20, 30), comprising a pressure element (2) which has a contact surface, which pressure element can be applied to carry out the welding process with said contact surface on one of the workpieces (20) to be welded to each other, wherein the contact surface has an annular design. A centering pin axially projecting over the contact surface is arranged inside the annular contact surface. The invention also relates to a method for welding a connection element (20), in particular an adapter for a PDC sensor, to a component (30), in particular an exterior add-on part of a motor vehicle.

VENTILATION FLAP ARRANGEMENT, METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND EMBOSSING DIE USED IN THIS METHOD
20190283540 · 2019-09-19 ·

A ventilation flap arrangement, in particular for venting a motor vehicle interior, comprises one or a plurality of flexible cover flaps and a frame for holding the cover flaps, the frame having a receiving groove for a cover flap, the receiving groove being formed by two side cheeks, and the cover flap being non-detachably connected, at its longitudinal edge, with the receiving groove of the frame by embossing. This embossed connection acts upon the cover flap in a clamping manner in a longitudinal-edge clamping area thereof. In each case one or a plurality of openings are provided close to the longitudinal edge at least on one side of the longitudinal-edge clamping area of the cover flap, with the side cheek projecting therein with in each case one embossed projection without applying a clamping force.

HYBRID MANDREL FOR USE IN TOOLING METHODS AND THE MANUFACTURE OF THRUST REVERSER CASCADES AND STRUCTURES SUSCEPTIBLE TO TRAPPED TOOLING

A hybrid mandrel for forming a composite part may comprise a core and a sleeve located around the core. The core may include a rigid material. The sleeve may comprise an elastomeric material. The part may be formed by locating the hybrid mandrel in an injection mold, depositing a molten resin around the hybrid mandrel, curing the molten resin; and removing the hybrid mandrel.

Container of thermoplastic material

An article enclosing at least one built-in fitment component in the form of a hollow body of thermoplastic material. The hollow body is preferably in the form of a fuel tank. The built-in fitment component is pressed against the inside wall of the article while still plastic so that the plastic material of the hollow body penetrates through at least one recess or opening of the built-in fitment component and flows therebehind.
