CARTRIDGE FOR AN AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAID CARTRIDGE
Cartridge for an aerosol generating device and method for making said cartridge is disclosed. The cartridge has:
a container which comprises a bottom, a lateral wall which rises from the bottom and an opening;
a liquid contained in the container;
a cap which closes the opening of the container; and
a coating which covers at least the lateral wall of the container (2) and which is made of a heat-shrinkable material.
CARTRIDGE FOR VAPORIZER DEVICE
A vaporizer cartridge is described that is configured for coupling to a vaporizer device body and containing a vaporizable material. Various embodiments of the vaporizer cartridge are described that include one or more features for maximizing a reservoir volume within the vaporizer cartridge for the containing of vaporizable material thereby increasing the output of vaporized vaporizable material from a compact cartridge configuration. Additionally, associated methods of manufacturing are described.
Aerosol production assembly including surface with micro-pattern
The present disclosure relates to an aerosol production assembly. The aerosol production assembly may include a reservoir that contains an aerosol precursor composition and an atomizer that receives the aerosol precursor composition from the reservoir and heats the aerosol precursor composition to produce an aerosol. The aerosol production assembly may additionally include a body that directs the aerosol through an outlet. The body may include a surface including a micro-pattern that defines at least one of hydrophobic and anti-microbial properties. The surface including the micro-pattern may not include a chemical coating that provides these properties. Rather, the surface may define a three-dimensional structure that provides hydrophobic and/or anti-microbial properties. A related assembly method is also provided.
Vaporizer heating element assemblies and methods of manufacturing same
A vaporizer heating element assembly has a case structure with a plurality of walls collectively defining a case interior. An upper wall has an access opening, a left wall has a reservoir window, and a lower wall has a vaporization window. A thin plate heating element formed from an electrically conductive material is positioned within the case structure parallel to the lower wall and adjacent the vaporization window. A liquid transport structure is configured for transporting liquid by capillary action from a liquid intake surface to a liquid outflow surface and is disposed within the case interior so that the liquid intake surface is adjacent the reservoir window and the liquid outflow surface is adjacent or in contact with the thin plate heating element. The heating element assembly also has an access closure sized and configured to seal the access opening.
Aerosol generation device, and heating chamber therefor
A method of constructing a heating chamber for an aerosol generation device includes providing a side wall of the heating chamber, providing a heater, and arranging the heater to be in thermal contact with the side wall of the heating chamber. The method may also include attaching a heat shrink layer to the outward facing side of the heater, and heating the heat shrink layer to a temperature such that the heat shrink layer contracts to compress the heater against the side wall. The heating chamber for the aerosol generation device includes a side wall defining an interior volume of the heating chamber, and a heater in thermal contact with the side wall, as well as a heat shrink layer under tension, compressing the heater against an outwardly facing surface of the side wall.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ORAL POUCHED SNUFF PRODUCT
The present disclosure relates to a method for producing an oral pouched snuff product comprising a filling material (29, 10) and a saliva-permeable pouch (43) enclosing the filling material (29, 10), the product (29, 10) having a moisture content of at most 20% by weight, in particular at most 10% by weight, based on total weight of the product (29, 10), the saliva-permeable pouch (43) having one or more seals (45, 46), and said filling material (29, 10) comprising at least 20% by weight, based on dry weight of the filling material (29, 10), of at least one ingredient having a melting temperature below 180 C., the method comprising ultrasonically welding and cutting an advancing web (32) of packaging material (7) to which the filling material (29, 10) has been supplied. The present disclosure also provides an oral pouched snuff product which is obtainable by this method.
METHODS FOR ASSEMBLING A CARTRIDGE FOR AN AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND APPARATUSES
The present disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses, and methods for assembling cartridges for aerosol delivery devices. A system may include assembly cells each including an assembly track and assembly carriages that ride thereon and which engage components of partially-assembled cartridges. A transfer apparatus may transfer partially-assembled cartridges between the assembly cells. In another example system, cartridges may be assembled on platforms on a rotary track. The platforms may include assembly grippers with sequentially-opening clamps configured to receive the components of the partially-assembled cartridges. Related methods are also provided.
Heater assembly with cavity filled with a potting compound
A heater assembly for an aerosol-generating device is provided, the heater assembly including: a bushing defining an aperture at a first end of the bushing and a cavity at a second end of the bushing; and an elongate electrical heater extending from the first end of the bushing, in which a portion of the elongate electrical heater extends through the aperture and into the cavity. An aerosol-generating device, and an aerosol-generating system, are also provided.
