Explosion-proof housing and method for producing same
The invention relates to an explosion-proof housing and to a method for connecting a housing part and a cover part, wherein the housing is formed at least from a metal housing part with at least one housing opening and/or receiving surface and a support edge which borders said housing opening and/or receiving surface and with a cover part which covers the housing opening or receiving surface and comprises a peripheral cover edge. The cover part and the housing part are connected together in an explosion-proof manner. In order to improve such a housing such that a corresponding connection of the housing part and cover part can be produced in a simple and secure manner without the use of adhesive in order to form an explosion-proof housing and such that the housing part and the cover part have a high degree of connection stability, a plurality of connection points between the support edge and the cover edge is formed as interlocking depressions and protrusions, the protrusions being formed by partial melting the cover edge.
Method of laser welding of an automotive light
Method of manufacture of an automotive light comprising the steps of providing a container body delimited by a first perimetral profile, providing a lenticular body, internally delimited by a second perimetral profile and externally by an outer edge corresponding to said second perimetral profile, wherein the container body acts as an absorbent element of the light beam and the lenticular body acts as a transmission element of the light beam, providing optical devices for changing the divergence of the portions of laser beams in output from the fibers, so as to collimate them overall along at least one predetermined optical axis. The method further comprises the steps of directing on a critical portion of the welding interface at least a first laser beam emitted by a respective fiber lying on an optical plane incident with said critical portion of the welding interface.
METHOD FOR SETTING UP A JOINING APPARATUS FOR JOINING A LIGHT LENS TO A HOUSING OF A MOTOR VEHICLE LIGHTING ARRANGEMENT
A method for setting up a joining apparatus for joining a light lens to a housing of a motor vehicle lighting arrangement. A first virtual model is created of the joining apparatus with a light lens and a housing received therein, a relative arrangement of the light lens to the housing corresponds to a target arrangement. A plurality of virtual models are created of the joining apparatus with the light lens and the housing received therein. The relative arrangement of the light lens to the housing deviates from the target arrangement in each case by means of virtual displacement of the adjuster. A target displacement is calculated of an adjuster on the basis of a functional relationship calculated and the relative arrangement in the test construction unit measured. A light lens is joined to a housing in the target arrangement by displacing the adjuster by the target displacement.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A JOINT CONNECTION BETWEEN A LIGHT-GIVING/OPTICS PLASTIC COMPONENT AND A METAL COMPONENT
A method for manufacturing a joining connection between a luminously efficacious part and a metal component of a lighting device of a vehicle. A microstructure is generated in a joining surface of the metal component, the microstructure having undercuts with respect to the joining surface. The plastic material of the plastic part is softened in an area of the complementary joining surface near the surface with the aid of an introduction of heat. The plastic part and the metal component are pressed together with a pressure force in such a way that a portion of the softened plastic material penetrates the undercuts of the microstructure. The plastic material of the plastic part is cooled thereby forming a new strength of the softened plastic material of the plastic part.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A JOINT CONNECTION BETWEEN A STRUCTURAL COMPONENT MADE OF A PLASTIC AND A METAL COMPONENT
A method for manufacturing a joining connection between a structural part and a metal component of a lighting device of a vehicle, the method comprising at least the following steps: Generating a microstructure in a joining surface of the metal component, the microstructure having undercuts with respect to the joining surface; Softening the plastic material of the plastic part in an area of the complementary joining surface near the surface with the aid of an introduction of heat; Pressing the plastic part and the metal component together with a pressure force in such a way that a portion of the softened plastic material penetrates the undercuts of the microstructure; and Cooling the plastic material of the plastic part, forming a new strength of the softened plastic material of the plastic part.
Machine for welding workpieces made of plastic materials
Machine for welding workpieces made of plastic materials of the type comprising: two workpiece-carrying fixtures each provided with a template having a recess adapted to accommodate a respective plastic workpiece to be welded; a moving assembly adapted to selectively couple and press the two workpiece-carrying fixtures to/against each other, so as to tighten the plastic workpieces housed in the templates one against the other; a vibrating member which is adapted to vibrate on command a first workpiece-carrying fixture; automatic piece locking means adapted to selectively lock/immobilise the plastic workpiece to be welded inside the template of the first workpiece-carrying fixture; and an electronic control unit adapted to drive/control said automatic piece locking means.
Outer lens for lighting fixtures for vehicles, lighting fixture for vehicles provided with said outer lens, and method for producing said lighting fixture for vehicles
An outer lens for a lighting fixture for a vehicle includes a first region formed of a first material and a second region formed of a second material adjacent to the first region. The first material transmits light in a visible light range. The second material has a first wavelength range with transmittance equal to or less than a first transmittance. A second wavelength range has a transmittance equal to or more than a second light transmittance. A third wavelength range is between the first wavelength range and the second wavelength range. The first wavelength range includes a visible light at an S wavelength or a shorter wavelength. The second wavelength range includes a wavelength range from an M wavelength to an L wavelength. The third wavelength range increases from the S wavelength to the M wavelength. The first wavelength range includes the emission wavelength.
MOLDING OF PLASTIC GLAZING OF TAILGATES
A method of manufacturing a plastic glazing of a tailgate of a vehicle, the method comprising: injecting a first material into a molding apparatus to form a first component of the plastic glazing, wherein the first component comprises a panel of the plastic glazing; injecting a second material into the molding apparatus to form a second component of the plastic glazing, wherein the second component combines with at least the first component, wherein at least a portion of the first component and the second component comprises a transparent cover of a molded light assembly; and injecting a third material into the molding apparatus to form a third component, wherein the third component combines with at least the first component.
Methods and apparatus for molding-in gaskets within the grooves of a planar work material
Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards methods and apparatus for molding-in gaskets that serve as light blockers, within the grooves of a moving planar work material.
