SEAT
Provided is a seat which includes: a cushion frame including left and right side frames located separately from each other in a lateral direction, and front and rear cross members by which the left and right side frame are connected; left and right second supporting wires located separately from each other in a lateral direction and laid to connect the front and rear cross members; and left and right side supporting members made of plastic and formed integrally with the second supporting wires. The side supporting members have engagement portions which are engaged with the side frames.
RADIO FREQUENCY WELDING TECHNIQUES TO EMBOSS GRAPHICS ON A TICKING MATERIAL
A system comprising a patient support surface including a core, a ticking covering the core, a RF welding equipment, and a die are used to emboss a layer of an embossing substrate to a surface of the ticking to form a 3-dimensional structure determined by the die. The ticking has a first surface that faces away from the core and a second surface that faces towards the core, and the 3-dimensional structure is formed on the second surface.
INTERNAL TENSIONING STRUCTURE USEABLE WITH INFLATABLE DEVICES
An internal tensioning structure for use in an inflatable product fulfills the basic function of maintaining two adjacent inflatable surfaces in a desired geometric arrangement when the inflatable product is pressurized. The tensioning structure is formed by connecting a pair of plastic strips sheets via spaced-apart strands, such as strings or wires. When pulled taut, the strands provide a high tensile strength between the two opposed plastic strips. At the same time, the plastic strips facilitate a strong, long-lasting weld between the tensioning structure and the inflatable product.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SEAT CUSHION AND SEAT CUSHION AS SUCH
The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing a seat cushion comprising: providing a cushion comprising a 3D entanglement of continuous thermoplastic fibers, arranged irregularly or randomly forming loops heat-sealed together and hot-pressing of the 3D entanglement of fibers into one or more local 3D entanglement areas so as to obtain one or more densified, stiffened local areas of the cushion, the local area(s) being configured to serve as a fastening area. The present disclosure also relates to a cushion obtained according to the manufacturing method, and a seat comprising such a cushion and a cap attached to the densified, stiffened local area(s).
Porous body, additive manufacturing method for the body and apparatus for supporting and/or bearing a person
It is a feature of a porous body (10, 20) comprising a three-dimensional network of node points (200) joined to one another by struts (100), and a void volume (300) present between the struts (100), that the struts (100) have an average length of 200 to 50 mm, the struts (100) have an average thickness of 100 m to 5 mm, and that the porous body has a compression hardness (40% compression, DIN EN ISO 3386-1: 2010-09) in at least one spatial direction of 10 to 100 kPa. The porous body according to the invention combines the advantages of a conventional mattress or cushion with ventilatability which results from its porous structure and is not achievable in conventional foams. The invention further relates to a method of producing such a porous body (10, 20) and to an apparatus comprising said body (10, 20) for supporting and/or bearing a person.
Low delamination mold release
Methods and combinations of a curing catalyst with a mold release mixture, which is then subsequently applied to the surface of a mold prior to the application of polyurethane reactants to said mold, where the curing catalyst component has the effect of catalyzing the reaction at the surface of the molded part. This catalysis results in greater reactivity at the surface between reacting portions and lower delamination of the surface of the foam, thereby leading to more attractive skins with a more consistent cell structure, and lower de-mold times due to skins whose nature makes them less likely to adhere to the surface of the mold. These foams will be less likely to tear upon opening of the mold, and production quality and output will be improved.
Bedding Product Comprising a Foamed Latex Layer, Slab of Such Foamed Latex Layer for Cutting a Bedding Product Therefrom and Method of Manufacturing Thereof
A method for producing a bedding product comprising at least a foamed latex layer, said method comprising the steps of: pouring liquid latex foam on a conveyor belt; vulcanizing said liquid latex foam in a vulcanization station to obtain u vulcanized latex foam slab; cutting said vulcanized latex foam slab to a desired length and/or width, characterized in that for at least partially vulcanizing said liquid latex foam electromagnetic waves with a frequency ranging between 1 and 50 Mhz are used.
Sleeping pad for sleeping cot
A contoured sleeping pad for use on a hot or other similar structure having a sag or valley in a central region. The contoured sleeping pad includes top and bottom surfaces and left and right longitudinal edges. The contoured sleeping pad has a height or thickness proximate the left and right longitudinal edges which is less than the height in a central region approximately midway between the left and right longitudinal edges.
Method of making mattress core with individual foam columns and no springs.
This invention is a mattress core that is manufactured as a single unit. It is made up of individual cones that have different configurations resulting in different densities at different portions of the mattress. There are three main ways to accomplishing this goal: columns of different sizes and shapes, columns with different hole diameters, and columns with different density foam used to create them. A key advantage of this invention is that it is a single mattress made from a single mold and does not require multiple parts to be put together.
FIRE RETARDANT CUSHIONING DEVICES
A fire retardant cushioning device wherein the cushioning device comprises a main body formed of a fire retardant cover material which is assembled together from panels of fire retardant cover material with the panels being connected together by at least one welded seam extending about the edges of the panels of cover material to form a seamed fire retardant cover material comprising the main body of the cover and the seam(s); and wherein the construction of the cushioning device provides a fire retardant cushioning device having welded seam(s) whereby the welded seam(s) are configured such that they are flame retardant. A fire retardant, infection control cushioning device is also disclosed. The invention also provides a method of manufacturing the fire retardant cushioning device.
