RECYCLING OF SMART WINDOWS
The present invention relates to the methods of recycling electrochromic devices and also designing such devices while keeping recyclability in perspective. Recyclability includes recovering of certain materials for re-use within the same application or other applications. Using recycling reduces or eliminates waste stream quantities to be disposed of and/or reduces toxicity of these waste streams.
Container with product visualization aperture
The present invention relates to a method for providing a product viewing window in a container. The container has at least a body ply and a liner ply, wherein the body ply has at least one aperture therethrough. The liner ply is adhered to the inner surface of the body ply and has a portion extending across the aperture, forming a window into the container. The method involves providing a window-finishing machine that comprises at least two platens and, optionally, a machine pocket positioned between them, a heating element extending through at least one of the platens, and a pressurized air device that is adapted to release pressurized air into the container through at least one of the platens. The container is engaged between the platens in an airtight manner and, optionally, the container window is positioned adjacent the inside wall of the machine pocket. The heating element heats the window of the container to the desired temperature, pressurized air is injected into the container such that the window is forced at least partially through the aperture of the container (and optionally into contact with the machine pocket wall), and the container window is then cooled to the desired temperature.
Phase gradient nanocomposite window fabrication and method of fabricating durable optical windows
A unitary radome layer assembly is provided and includes a first nanocomposite formulation and a second nanocomposite formulation. The first and second nanocomposite formulations are provided together in a unitary radome layer with respective distribution gradients.
Spacers for insulated glass
This invention provides a sealing spacer for spacing apart two window panes to form a window assembly. The spacer has an elongated, flexible strip having opposed edge surfaces and opposed side surfaces. The spacer also has a fiber reinforced polymer layer over the elongated, flexible strip. The opposed edge surfaces undulate with crests and troughs. The spacer has an activatable sealant for directly sealingly securing the flexible strip to each of the two window panes. The activatable sealant is on each of the opposed side surfaces of the fiber reinforced polymer. The invention also provides methods for making the spacer and window assembly.
METHOD FOR CURING ROOM TEMPERATURE CURABLE SILICONE COMPOSITIONS
This disclosure relates to a method for reducing gas bubble entrapment from bulk cured room temperature condensation curable silicone compositions. The method comprising applying a predefined volume of a bulk cured room temperature condensation curable silicone composition bulk curable silicone composition onto or into a target substrate. The method further comprising at least initially curing the composition in an atmosphere having a relative humidity of X %, wherein X has a value in the range of 0<X?40%, for a predetermined time or until no gas bubbles remain visible in the composition.
Method of manufacturing a car window graphic
A graphic, includes a substrate and a printed pattern disposed over the substrate. The substrate is configured to attach to a mounting surface, and is transparent. The printed pattern exposes a nonprinted pattern. The printed pattern is a geometric projection of a graphic design on the mounting surface from a first viewpoint, and the nonprinted pattern is a geometric projection of a transparency design on the mounting surface from a second viewpoint.
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION
Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin composition obtainable by melt-kneading an alicyclic structure-containing polymer, an aqueous dispersion of a metal oxide, and a polyglycerin fatty acid ester. Thus, a thermoplastic resin composition is provided which has low haze and excellent transparency as well as sufficient heat ray shielding property and is suitable for windows and window parts for general buildings or vehicles.
Methods, system and apparatuses for in situ removal of window distortion
Methods systems and apparatuses for reducing or substantially eliminating distortion in a transparent substrate in situ are disclosed.
A Method For Attaching Two Window Components
A method for attaching a first window component to a second window component comprising the steps of: engraving a surface of the first window component with at least one first type cavity, and attaching the second window component to the first window component by introducing an anchor portion of the second window component into the least one first type cavity,
