Portable roller compactor
A portable roller compactor for compacting waste located in a container, which is open on the top, has a frame-like basic structure and an articulated arm, one end of which is supported by the basic structure, and the other, free end of which supports a roller compactor that essentially can be rotated about a horizontal axis of rotation. The articulated arm of the roller compactor is pivotably attached to a sliding carriage, which is mounted on the frame-like base structure and can be moved in a longitudinal direction.
Waste material compaction apparatus and vehicle including same
The present disclosure concerns a compaction apparatus having a hopper housing defining a hopper chamber to receive materials; a container storing the materials in a compacted fashion; a screw conveying the materials from the hopper chamber to the container and comprising a screw hopper segment extending in the hopper chamber; a partition assembly located between the hopper and the container; and a containment assembly comprising a flap mounted to the hopper housing and being movable between a loading configuration wherein the flap uncovers the screw hopper segment, and a containment configuration in which the flap at least partially covers the screw hopper segment to contain the materials in the hopper chamber.

ISOSTATIC PRESS DEVICES AND PROCESSES FOR CYLINDRICAL SOLID-STATE BATTERIES
Various arrangements for compressing a cylindrical battery cell are presented herein. The cylindrical battery cell may be wrapped in a buffer material. The buffer material may then be compressed using a compression mechanism. The buffer material may uniformly distribute pressure applied to the buffer material to a curved sidewall of the cylindrical battery cell.

MACHINE FOR TREATING ORGANIC WASTE AND RELATED CONTROL METHOD
A waste treatment machine is disclosed, having a safety sensor which generates an alarm signal to stop the motor (7) when the requested torque exceeds a certain threshold, but has a gear with a friction transmission belt (8), i.e. not a toothed belt, between a driving pulley (9) and an idle pulley (10) connected to a shaft (6) for squeezing/grinding waste. The friction transmission belt is tightened so as to slip when a nominal maximum torque is exceeded. The protection sensor is configured to detect slippage of the friction transmission belt and to provide in such an event an alarm signal to a control unit that interrupts a normal miming of the motor. The organic waste treatment machine may be a single-worm screw (4) or double-worm screw squeezing machine, or a grinding machine with hammers (13) pivoted at the periphery of a shaft installed in the inner chamber of the machine. A method of controlling such a machine for treating waste is also disclosed.
