A liquid extraction assembly for extracting liquid from a mass including a housing having an inlet, an outlet, and a path between the inlet and the outlet. The housing has the mass forced into the inlet to move the mass from the inlet to the outlet. The housing includes a rotating screen adjacent the path, with the rotating screen defining one wall of the path. The rotating screen includes a plurality of openings located at the path. Pressure from mass forced into the inlet presses the mass against the openings of the rotating screen to thereby force at least a portion of liquid in the mass to pass through the openings of the rotating screen. The housing has at least one stirring arm extending into the path between the inlet and the outlet, the at least one stirring arm stirring the mass in the path.

A useful substance is extracted from botanical feedstock by mechanically compressing the feedstock and pumping a solvent through the compressed feedstock at high pressure while applying compressive mechanical force against the feedstock. Movement of pressurized solvent through the compressed feedstock may increase the volume of solvent in contact with the feedstock. Flow of solvent under pressure may also present a shearing force that facilitates dissociation of the useful substance from the feedstock.

A dual function garlic press includes an upper handle having a plunger, a lower handle having a receiving chamber and a cutter grid. The cutter grid is pivotally connected to the first side of plunger. The upper handle is rotatable in relation to the lower handle about a vertical axis between a first position where the first side of the plunger faces towards the receiving chamber when the upper handle and the lower handle are at the close position, and a second position where the second side of the plunger is juxtaposed to the bottom of the receiving chamber when the upper handle and the lower handle are at the close position to crush the item in the receiving chamber.

A dual function garlic press includes an upper handle having a plunger, a lower handle having a receiving chamber and a cutter grid. The cutter grid is pivotally connected to the first side of plunger. The upper handle is rotatable in relation to the lower handle about a vertical axis between a first position where the first side of the plunger faces towards the receiving chamber when the upper handle and the lower handle are at the close position, and a second position where the second side of the plunger is juxtaposed to the bottom of the receiving chamber when the upper handle and the lower handle are at the close position to crush the item in the receiving chamber.

A method is described for loading a plant product, preferably must or grape, inside a fermentation tank (12) comprising on its top a loading mouth (14), comprising the steps of: moving a quantity of plant product by putting it inside a container (50) coupled to a guide (22) arranged to guide it up above the loading mouth and, there, and transferring said amount inside the tank.

The method ensures easy handling of the product.

A self-contained mobile wet waste material separator and dewatering for waste water treatment facilities to facilitate the dewatering of solid waste debris that accumulates in screening points within the transfer and treatment process. The mobile wet water waste separator has a screen drum separator rotatably mounted on a wheeled trailer with integrated multiple dewatering and transfer continuous conveyor belts. The wet waste material separator and dewatering provides for dewatering of separated solid waste removed from waste treatment wet wells that define intermediate transfer stations within a municipal waste water collection and treatment system via a collection and transfer vacuum truck.

Process for treating solid waste containing an organic fraction, comprising an initial step of extrusion pressing the waste with production of a solid fraction and a liquor. The solid fraction is subjected to a milling treatment at a pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure in a rotary mill that produces a sanitized dry solid and water. The liquor is subjected to a treatment of anaerobic digestion in three subsequent steps, with production of biogas and of a digestate that is subjected to evaporation under vacuum to obtain a concentrated compost and steam, re-used in other steps of the process. The sanitized dry solid and the biogas can be used as fuel to produce thermal and electric energy to be used in the process, which also allows surplus energy to be obtained.
