ALUMINUM DUST COLLECTION AND COMPACTING METHOD
A method of forming a compact includes removing material from a workpiece, transferring metallic dust released during the material removal into a conduit, operating a plurality of slide gates to selectively control movement of the dust from the conduit to either one of a primary collector and a back-up collector, drawing the dust through the conduit to a compactor, and compacting the dust in the compactor.
Method and plant for producing extrusion billets
A method and a system produces extrusion billets from scraps obtained from stamping, cutting and/or machining operations, in particular scraps made of magnesium or magnesium alloys, without subjecting these to a melting process. The system for carrying out the method is essentially composed of a storage unit for the scraps, a device for comminuting the scraps, a press for producing a round briquette, and an extruder for shaping the round briquette into a extrusion billet.
Briquetting Machine and Briquetting Method for Loose Metal Scraps
The present disclosure is for a briquetting machine and method thereof to process loose metal scraps. The method comprises the steps of advancing a pre-extruding punch in a first pathway to push loose metal scraps towards a first entrance leading into a re-extruding cavity; advancing a re-extruding punch in a second pathway perpendicular to the first pathway to further push the loose metal scraps towards a second entrance leading to a final pressing cavity; advancing a final-extruding punch along a third pathway perpendicular to both the pre and re-extruding punches to compress loose metal scraps to form a metal cake in the final extruding cavity. Pressure and overflow release areas are configured adjacent to each entrance. Advancing and retracting sequences of the pre-, re-, and final-extruding punches are monitored and controlled via sensors and switches.
REVERSE VENDING MACHINE INCORPORATING A METHOD OF CLEANING THEREIN
A reverse vending machine is provided that includes an interface cabinet having an inlet portal. At least one bin is provided for receiving the accepted recyclable container. A roller system identifies and sorts the recyclable containers. A crusher is driven by a motor with a mechanical coupling between the crusher and the motor. The crusher is adapted to receive various containers and is positioned intermediate between the roller system and the bin. A cart or frame displaceable relative to the interface cabinet, the crusher is mounted on the cart or the frame. A reverse vending machine in another embodiment includes a interface cabinet, the interface cabinet having an inlet portal for recyclable container input and a rejected container depository. At least one bin and a roller system are provided along with a wash system for cleaning components of the interface cabinet between the inlet portal and the bin.
AXIAL MISALIGNMENT DETECTION SYSTEM
Provided is a detection system for use in scrap metal shears, which contains a guillotine for cutting scrap metal materials that applies pressure from above on scrap metal materials by a pressing piston and fixed bottom blades that cut scrap metal materials between the guillotine which acts in downward direction and the fixed bottom blades. The system has at least one sensor which is positioned on the scrap metal shear in such a way that it faces sensor reference points designated on the guillotine to follow the cutting axis, detect axial misalignment during the cutting operation and send a signal; and a PLC system which monitors the scrap metal shear and processes the signal received from the sensor to stop the scrap metal shear or warn the operator.
Weapon demilitarization system and process
A fully automatic small arms demilitarization system includes individual infeed conveyance systems loaded at a single process initiation location; multiple hydraulic press stations fed by the individual infeed conveyance systems; and the multiple hydraulic press stations configured to crush one section of each weapon per cycle, incrementally crushing an entire length of each weapon, completely distorting each weapon to preclude restoration to a useable condition. The system further including an output system configured to output demilitarized weapons onto a common outfeed conveyance system that delivers the demilitarized weapons to a single recycle bin.

Devices and methods for recycling mattress box springs
A device for removing a set of springs from a mattress box spring including a mattress box spring support, a pushing block support frame secured to the mattress box spring support, a pushing block supported by the pushing block support frame adjacent to the mattress box spring support, a cylinder for extending the pushing block over a mattress box spring positioned on the mattress box spring support belt, wherein the cylinder is operable to extend the pushing block transversely over the mattress box spring to separate springs attached to a frame of the mattress box spring from the frame, and wherein a plurality of forks extend in front of the pushing block transversely to the mattress box spring support for helping to prevent the springs from folding underneath a bottom of the pushing block when the pushing block is extended over the mattress box spring to separate the springs from the frame.
Trolley, waste module and system for collecting waste
A trolley for collecting waste includes a housing having a main waste chamber for receiving waste, and wheels attached to a bottom wall of the housing. The housing has at least one module seating, each configured to receive a waste module for collecting waste. Each module seating includes fasteners configured to releasably couple to a waste module. The waste module includes a module housing having at its top surface a top opening for inserting waste, and having a module waste chamber for receiving waste inserted through the top opening. The module housing includes second connection means at its outside surface, which are configured to releasably interact with first connection means of a trolley for collecting waste. Also disclosed herein is a system that includes the trolley and at least one waste module inserted into the at least one module seating.
Aluminum dust collection and compacting apparatus
An apparatus for collecting dust from a cutting unit is provided. The apparatus includes a rotary valve operatively connected to the cutting unit, a conduit in fluid communication with the rotary valve, and a compacting machine disposed downstream from the conduit and configured to receive dust from the conduit. A blower is configured to pull air downstream to carry the dust into the compacting machine. The compacting machine produces a compact from the dust.
