The top side and skirt define an open interior volume shaped to match the defined physical envelope of the punch retainer and sized for stretchably jacketing the punch retainer. Further, the punch retainer cover includes an aperture or slot in the top side that, when the punch retainer cover is mounted on the punch retainer, aligns with a punch receptacle of the punch retainer. The aperture or slot is sized for stretchably surrounding a punch mounted in the punch receptacle and projecting upwardly through the aperture or slot.

Then, the vapor removing element directly removes vapors generated by the processing device when the processing device starts to work, the device being robotically taken out of the processing device and placed back in the feed area.

An edible energy tablet containing at least 80 weight % carbohydrates for consumption during exercise, is fabricated by a process including providing tablet material free of hydrophobic and/or PEG lubricants and free of CO.sub.2 sources. The tablet material includes a sucrose and dextrose mixture of 77-95 wt. %, maltodextrin of 2-13 wt. %, an edible soluble oil of 0.2-2.0 wt. %, and an edible acid of 1-4 wt. %. The tablet material is introduced to a tablet press that alternately moves first and second punches towards and away from one another to compress the tablet material to form and release a tablet. A punch cleaner engaged with the first and second punches removes tablet material from the punches after tablet release. The tablet has a diameter of 1.2 to 3.8 cm, a thickness of 0.6 cm to 2.3 cm, and a resistance to breakage forces of 8.5 to 30 kilopounds.

A method and system for feeding a lubricating or releasing agent from a dosing station to one or more pressing tools arranged in a pressing chamber of a tablet press. The tablet press is configured with a feed pipe for feeding the lubricating or release agent from the dosing station to the one or more pressing tools of a pressing chamber of the tablet press and the feed pipe is configured with a shut-off valve disposed in-line with the feed pip for controlling the flow of the lubricating or release agent to the pressing chamber. The method comprises the steps of: producing a negative pressure with respect to the surroundings of the pressing chamber of the tablet press, measuring a pressure in one of the feed pipe and the pressing chamber, and issuing a signal indicative of the measured pressure and issuing an enable signal to open a valve in response to the pressure signal.
