Press frame assembly
A press frame assembly includes a base plate, a load cell, and an overload protection element; a first plate, a plurality of guideposts disposed on the base plate; a plurality of springs disposed on the plurality of guideposts, a displacement transducer arranged to monitor a linear displacement of the first plate, and a controller, in communication with the load cell and the displacement transducer. The first plate is disposed to translate on the plurality of guideposts, and wherein the springs are disposed to urge movement of the first plate in relation to the base plate. The load cell is arranged to monitor a load exerted upon the base plate. The controller generates a signal that is based upon the load exerted upon the base plate or the linear displacement of the first plate in relation to the base plate.
Method for measuring or calibrating utensils used in a press
In a method for measuring or calibrating utensils, in particular in pressing processes, different dimensions and/or positions of the utensils, such as tools, stamps, die units, chucks or the like, are determined. A measuring device is provided, with which the utensils are placed relative to one another in the press as in the installed state and are displaceable relative to one another at least in the axial direction of the opening in the die unit forming the die and are measured and/or calibrated individually and relative to one another. The pressed parts and workpieces to be produced using a press can thus be manufactured in a highly precise manner, moreover in high numbers using the same utensils.
Press system and control method for press system
A press system includes: a detection unit configured to detect a press load applied for pressing a workpiece; a reference waveform generation unit configured to generate a reference waveform for comparison, based on a load waveform of the press load detected by the detection unit; and a determination unit configured to determine whether a press abnormality is present, based on the load waveform of the press load detected by the detection unit and the reference waveform. The press system generates the reference waveform, and therefore, the state of press working can be determined by a simple method.
Fraud detection system and method
A fraud detection system for a reverse vending machine, the system including: a detector adapted to detect at least one container entered into the reverse vending machine; a compactor load sensor adapted to measure load of a compactor of the reverse vending machine during operation, wherein the compactor is adapted to compact entered containers downstream of the detector; and a compactor load sensor monitoring device configured to determine whether the detected at least one container is compacted as expected based on the load measured by the compactor load sensor.
Using data about the force flow in a press for the operation of a ram
A method of using data on the force flow in a press for the operation of a plunger, wherein the loads of the parts involved in the force flow can differ as a result of eccentrically operating forces, in such a way that the data about the respectively acting forces that, in accordance with Hooke's law, cause an extension or compression of a movement of the parts involved in the force flow, is measured and evaluated in relation to a drive device and a position of the plunger, whereupon a skewed position of the plunger is permitted or a skewed position of the plunger is counteracted or a skewed position of the plunger is set during operation of the press.
PRESS-WORKING APPARATUS AND RELATED METHOD
Press-working apparatus, monitoring device, and method of operating a press-working apparatus with a press-working monitoring device and one or more displacement sensors including a first displacement sensor comprising a first primary attachment part mounted on a first part of the press-working apparatus, a first secondary attachment part mounted on a second part of the press-working apparatus, and a first sensing part, the first sensing part being arranged between the first primary attachment part and the first secondary attachment part, wherein the first displacement sensor is configured to provide a first output signal indicative of deformation of the first sensing part is disclosed. The method comprises: obtaining the first output signal from the first displacement sensor while moving the first part and the second part along a main axis in relation to each other, thereby deforming the first displacement sensor; determining if an error criterion based on the first output signal from the first displacement sensor has been met; and providing a control signal indicative of an error to the press-working apparatus if the error criterion is met.
PRESS FORMING METHOD AND TOOL FOR PRESS FORMING
A press forming method includes a first process of obtaining a pressing force applied to each portion of a tool by an workpiece material during press forming while independently driving the respective each portion of the tool divided into multiple portions and press forming the workpiece material, and a second process of adjusting at least one of an applied driving force, an applied driving speed, and an applied driving timing for each portion of the tool to cause a processing portion of the workpiece material in which the state approaching an overload state is detected based on the pressing force to flow to other processing portions of the workpiece material.
PRESS HEAD FOR A PRESS MACHINE
A press head for a press machine used to press-fit a connector to a printed circuit board includes a press motor operable in a pressing operation, a driver assembly operably coupled to the press motor and movable during the pressing operation, and a press anvil operably coupled to the driver assembly and movable by the driver assembly during the pressing operation. The press anvil has a load cell housing holding a load cell and a contact plate coupled to the load cell housing and engaging the load cell. The contact plate has a contact surface configured to engage the connector or a seating tool for the connector and configured to press the connector toward the printed circuit board during the pressing operation. The load cell measures a pressing load of the contact plate during the pressing operation.
Thermoforming Apparatus Having Deformation Sensor and Method
A thermoforming apparatus is provided having a pair of coacting platens, a load bearing structural member, a force applicator, and a deformation sensor. The pair of coacting platens and respective dies are configured to mate on opposed surfaces of a heated sheet of thermoformable material to form articles. The load bearing structural member is configured to carry the coacting platens and the dies in complementary closed relationship about the sheet during an article forming operation. The force applicator is carried by the structural member and configured to impart a forming load between the pair of opposed dies and platens and across the structural member during a forming operation. The deformation sensor is configured to span a first location and a second location on the structural member to detect deformation indicative of separation between the dies resulting from deformation.
