PRESS FRAME ASSEMBLY
A press frame assembly includes a base plate, a load cell, and an overload protection element; a first plate, a plurality of guideposts disposed on the base plate; a plurality of springs disposed on the plurality of guideposts, a displacement transducer arranged to monitor a linear displacement of the first plate, and a controller, in communication with the load cell and the displacement transducer. The first plate is disposed to translate on the plurality of guideposts, and wherein the springs are disposed to urge movement of the first plate in relation to the base plate. The load cell is arranged to monitor a load exerted upon the base plate. The controller generates a signal that is based upon the load exerted upon the base plate or the linear displacement of the first plate in relation to the base plate.
Gate of a tablet discharge of a tablet press
A tablet discharge gate for a tablet press comprises a tablet channel having an inlet and an outlet and comprising one of a tube shape and a trough shape, a first outlet channel, and a second outlet channel. A gate chamber is positioned between the outlet of the tablet channel and the first and second outlet channels. A drive apparatus is configured to move the tablet discharge gate between a first position in which tablets are supplied from the tablet channel to the gate chamber and into the first outlet channel of the gate, and a second position in which tablets are supplied to the tablet discharge gate chamber and into the second outlet channel.
Compaction press
Compaction press includes a support structure provided with an abutment surface; a first compaction lid, which is provided with a first flat compaction surface and is rotatably constrained to a first delimitation edge of the support structure; a second compaction lid, which is provided with a second curved compaction surface and is rotatably constrained to a second delimitation edge of the support structure. The abutment surface of the support structure and the first and second compaction surfaces of the first and second compaction arms delimit a pressing chamber, in which a mass of material to be compacted is intended to be deposited. In addition, the second compaction lid includes a first arm and a second arm which are rotatably constrained to each other.
Outboard hydrostatic bearing assembly for can bodymaker
A hydrostatic/hydrodynamic fluid bearing assembly for a can bodymaker is provided. The hydrostatic/hydrodynamic fluid bearing assembly is separate from the ram body. The outboard guide bearing assembly includes a carriage assembly and a number of elongated journals. The carriage assembly includes a ram coupling, a crank coupling, and body defining a number of journal passages. The ram body is coupled to a ram coupling. The crank coupling is structured to be coupled to a crank arm. Each journal extends through a carriage assembly body journal passage. In this configuration, the ram body may form a can body in a traditional manner, but fluid bearing assembly fluid is not applied to the ram body. Instead, the fluid bearing assembly fluid is applied to the journals.
Radial press
A radial press is provided having a main structure, a plurality of pressing jaws arranged around a pressing axis, and having a drive unit which acts on the pressing jaws. The drive unit is supported on the main structure and can move the pressing jaws radially in the direction of the pressing axis and away from the same, at least one fibrous structure is provided radially outside the pressing jaws, the fibrous structure enclosing the pressing jaws and extending in annularly closed form around the pressing axis in a plane which is substantially perpendicular to the pressing axis.
RAIL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ROSIN COLLECTION
Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for a rosin press that allows improved extraction over existing presses. The press includes improved platens for rosin collection with built-in gutter rail collection systems and well-distributed force on the pressed product and multiple hydraulic rams. In addition, computerized systems are provided for controlling and monitoring the system in an automated fashion, as well as safety features to prevent injury and damage to the product, especially during automated pressing.

Can Crusher
A can crusher (102), having: a backing plate (120); a left crush-arm (126) pivotally secured to the backing plate and having a left handle (130) and a left crush surface (128) that faces the backing plate when the can crusher is in a closed configuration (190); a right crush-arm (140) pivotally secured to the backing plate and having a right handle (144) and a right crush surface (142) that faces the backing plate when in the closed configuration; and a support plate (150). In a vertical orientation (152) the backing plate is oriented vertically; the support plate is disposed below horizontal sweeps (154, 156) of the crush surfaces; and the support plate supports a can in between the crush surfaces when the can crusher is in an open configuration (104).
