CORE COMPRESSION AND FEEDER APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USING SAME
In an embodiment of a core compressor, the core compressor includes a housing and a first pair of rollers and a second pair of rollers, both positioned in the housing. For each of the pair of rollers, an upper roller is positioned in vertical alignment relative to a lower roller. The first pair of the rollers is located proximate to a first end of the core compressor, and the second pair of the rollers is located proximate to a second and opposing end of the core compressor. The upper roller of the first pair of rollers is located a first distance from the lower roller of the first pair of rollers. The upper roller of the second pair of rollers is located a second distance from the lower roller of the second pair of rollers. The first distance is greater than the second distance. Each roller includes at least one row of teeth extending generally perpendicularly away from the surface of the roller.

PRESS
A press, comprising a drive train having a motor and a press ram, and comprising a housing, which includes a first base plate, a second base plate and at least three columns arranged therebetween. The columns connect the two base plates to one another and keep them spaced apart. A first opening is arranged in the first base plate and a second opening is arranged in the second base plate. At least a part of the motor is arranged on a first side of the first base plate facing away from the columns and at least a part of the press ram is arranged on a second side of the second base plate facing away from the columns. The motor and the press ram are interconnected through the first and second openings.

Belt splicer
A tension-link of the belt-splicer is based on a rope-loop of high-strength synthetic fibre, wound around bosses. The bosses and the loop are encapsulated in moulded plastic. The link connects cross-beams of the splicer. The link includes couplings which permit rotation when the beams deflect in bending. The links can be stored inside the hollow interior of the beams. The couplings include eccentrically-mounted blocks that can be orientated to adjust the length of the link.
