A tool head for a pressing machine and a pressing machine for plastically deforming a tubular workpiece are described. In many applications, the tubular workpiece is a fitting. The tool head includes a base body, a fixed press jaw and a linearly movable press jaw. A spring element is arranged to preload the movable press jaw against a workpiece without plastically deforming the workpiece.

OIL HYDRAULIC PRESS

The present disclosure provides an oil hydraulic press including a support frame, at least one main cylinder assembly and at least one fixed die table. The at least one main cylinder assembly and the at least one fixed die table are disposed in the support frame. A pressing mechanism is formed between the at least one main cylinder assembly and the at least one fixed die table. The support frame is in an annular or ring-like shape and is configured for fixing the at least one main cylinder assembly and the at least one fixed die table. The main cylinder assembly and the fixed die table can be fixed by the support frame, which forms a ring-like structure, can be operated in one, two or multiple sets in parallel, and all can realize pressing manufacture. The oil hydraulic press has less components, reduced material consumption and low manufacturing cost.

The present disclosure provides an oil hydraulic press including a support frame, at least one main cylinder assembly and at least one fixed die table. The at least one main cylinder assembly and the at least one fixed die table are disposed in the support frame. The support frame is in an annular or ring-like shape and is configured for fixing the at least one main cylinder assembly and the at least one fixed die table. The main cylinder assembly and the fixed die table can be fixed by the support frame, which forms a ring-like structure, can be operated in one, two or multiple sets in parallel, and all can realize pressing manufacture. The oil hydraulic press has less components, reduced material consumption and low manufacturing cost.

Modular press

A modular press suitable for use in the manufacture of EWC products may include a plurality of frame modules coupled together and aligned along a feed path axis. Each frame module may have a generally planar body supported on a corresponding pair of bases, an elongate aperture, an upper and a lower platform within the aperture, and a platen between the platforms. Optionally, the ends of the aperture may be curved. A first actuator system may be operable to move the platen from a raised position to an intermediate position, and a second actuator system may be operable to press the platen downwardly from the intermediate position onto a workpiece within the aperture. Some modular presses include conveyor rolls and a third actuator system to raise and lower the conveyor rolls. In some embodiments, the actuator systems may be pneumatic actuator systems. Corresponding methods and systems are also described herein.

PRESS HEAD FOR A PRESS MACHINE

A press head for a press machine used to press-fit a connector to a printed circuit board includes a press motor operable in a pressing operation, a driver assembly operably coupled to the press motor and movable during the pressing operation, and a press anvil operably coupled to the driver assembly and movable by the driver assembly during the pressing operation. The press anvil has a load cell housing holding a load cell and a contact plate coupled to the load cell housing and engaging the load cell. The contact plate has a contact surface configured to engage the connector or a seating tool for the connector and configured to press the connector toward the printed circuit board during the pressing operation. The load cell measures a pressing load of the contact plate during the pressing operation.

Thermoforming Apparatus and Method

A thermoforming apparatus is provided having a frame, a pair of opposed platens, a toggle shaft, a kinematic linkage, a form air manifold, and a pair of articulating bearing assemblies. The pair of opposed platens is carried by the frame each with a die, one die configured to engage an opposed face of another die across a heated sheet of thermoformable material in sealed relation there between. The toggle shaft is carried by the frame for rotation. The kinematic linkage is coupled between the toggle shaft and one of the dies. The form air manifold and a source of differential pressure is coupled with a die face on one of the dies. The pair of articulating bearing assemblies is carried by the frame and configured to support the at least one toggle shaft for translation towards and away from the another die and platen. A method is also provided.

The piston cavity sleeve may include a wall having an outer surface and an inner surface opposite the outer surface. The piston cavity sleeve may further include a floor having an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface. An outer radius may be formed at a juncture of the outer surface of the wall and lower surface of the floor and an inner radius may be formed at a juncture of the inner surface of the wall and upper surface of the floor. The inner radius may exhibit a radius of curvature that is greater than a radius of curvature of the outer radius.
