Device to Level a Feeder Platform

A device for leveling the feeder platform relative to the die table of a tablet compression machine where the device has a base having top surface, a die table engaging surface and a proximate feeder platform surface. The die table surface and the proximate feeder surface are essentially flat and level or parallel with each other. The surfaces are sized such that when mounted on a tablet compression machine, the die table engaging surface is level with and parallel to the die table and the proximate feeder platform surface is approximately parallel to the feeder platform. The proximate feeder platform surface has three or more adjustable sensors attached so that the sensors are in a non-linear arrangement and are level with and parallel to the die table.

Die block, steel-rule die assembly comprising the same, and method thereof

The invention relates to steel-rule cutting dies having a die block with at least one kerf configured to receive a corresponding steel-rule intended to be partially inserted into the kerf. The die block also has at least one element having magnetic properties, such as for instance a magnet, located or embedded in proximity to each kerf for providing a magnetic field that retains the steel-rule when the steel-rule is received into the corresponding kerf. The presence of the magnetic element(s) in proximity to the kerf(s) allows maintaining the corresponding rule(s) in position within its kerf even if the kerf is cut “loosely”. The corresponding rule may be quickly and easily inserted and accurately maintained even if the die block expand or retract under atmospheric variations. Among other advantages, the invention allows better stability of the cutting-die, faster leveling on press, and increased the number of re-knifing and longer run-time.

Deforming machine

A deforming machine (1) with a machine frame (2), on which an upper tool (4) and a lower tool (5) are arranged, which form a working gap (8) of variable size, with a first optical safety light barrier (20) for securing a first safety space (28) adjacent to the working gap (8) and with a second optical safety light barrier (30) for securing a second safety space (31), which is located in front of a largest surface (18) of the upper tool (4). The second optical safety light barrier (30) is designed for monitoring a third safety space (51) which extends downwards beyond the end face (6) of the upper tool (4) facing the lower tool (5) along the movement path (14) in the direction of the lower tool (5), so that a projection of the third safety space (51) onto the working gap (8) covers at least a section of the working gap (8).

Device to level a feeder platform

A leveling device for leveling a feeder platform relative to a die table of a tablet compression machine to a desired distance, the leveling device comprising a top plate, a bottom plate, and at least three distance sensors; the top plate and the bottom plate are attached and the top plate has a top plate surface and a proximate feeder platform surface; the bottom plate has a die table engaging surface and the at least three adjustable distance sensors are mounted in a non-linear fashion on the proximate feeder platform surface; the die table engaging surface and the proximate feeder surface are essentially flat and are parallel to the each other and the die table engaging surface and the proximate feeder surface are sized such that when mounted on the tablet compression machine the die table engaging surface is parallel and proximate to the die table and the proximate feeder platform surface is approximately parallel and proximate to the feeder platform. A device for leveling the feeder platform relative to the die table of a tablet compression machine where the device has a base having top surface, a die table engaging surface and a proximate feeder platform surface. The die table surface and the proximate feeder surface are essentially flat and level or parallel with each other. A recycling method is disclosed that includes the steps of compacting recyclable material into a fixed bale of recyclable material while concurrently weighing the OCC in the compactor and independently of the force that the compactor applies to the material or to the bale, assigning an individual identifier to the fixed bale in which the identifier includes at least the weight of the bale, and sending the fixed identified bale to a destination selected from the group consisting of shippers, mills, rebalers, or a customers for the baled recyclable material. Also, devices and methods are disclosed for upgrading existing or new balers to enable them to perform at least some portions of the improved recycling methods. Example devices include baler-mounted load-cell weight sensors and U-shaped anchor plates for securing them in place in a free-floating arrangement.
