Efficient method and apparatus for producing compressed structural fiberboard
An efficient method and apparatus for making a compressed structural fiberboard from agricultural fibrous matter. The method and apparatus provides a conveyor having variable drives for carrying the agricultural fibrous matter; a hopper having variable drives for conditioning and delivering the agricultural fibrous matter to an extruder; the extruder having a cyclic ram with linear actuators and a floating plate to drive the cyclic ram between an extended position, wherein the agricultural fibrous matter is compacted into the compressed structural fiberboard, and a retracted position, wherein the agricultural fibrous matter is delivered to the extruder; synthetic oil heaters for heating the compressed structural fiberboard; a heat sink track cooler for cooling the compressed structural fiberboard; and a water jet cutting system for cutting the compressed structural fiberboard into individual boards.
Movable attachment for roller presses and a method for removing certain parts thereof
A roller press includes a frame assembly and a force generation device. The force generation device is configured to move so that it is removable when top members of the frame assembly are connected to the side members of the frame assembly and fixed in a closed horizontal position. The connection device for attaching the force generation device to the frame assembly includes a mounting plate and a hinge or sliding device.

EXTRUDER OF AGRICULTURAL FIBROUS MATTER FOR PRODUCING BOARDS WITH IMPROVED HOMOGENITY
The invention is directed to a machine for compacting agricultural fibrous matter into a board, comprising a hopper for receiving the agricultural fibrous matter; a pre-compacting device comprising several rows of fingers configured for moving successively into, along and out of vertical slits formed in at least a wall of the hopper; an extruder comprising an extrusion passage downstream of the hopper; and a ram configured for moving in a reciprocal manner along the extrusion passage; wherein each row of fingers of the pre-compacting device is independent in speed.
WEIGHT-MEASUREMENT RETROFITTING FOR RECYCLABLE-WASTE BALERS
A recycling method is disclosed that includes the steps of compacting recyclable material into a fixed bale of recyclable material while concurrently weighing the OCC in the compactor and independently of the force that the compactor applies to the material or to the bale, assigning an individual identifier to the fixed bale in which the identifier includes at least the weight of the bale, and sending the fixed identified bale to a destination selected from the group consisting of shippers, mills, rebalers, or a customers for the baled recyclable material. Also, devices and methods are disclosed for upgrading existing or new balers to enable them to perform at least some portions of the improved recycling methods. Example devices include baler-mounted load-cell weight sensors and U-shaped anchor plates for securing them in place in a free-floating arrangement.
