ELECTRIC PRESS AND METHOD FOR CALIBRATING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are an electric press and a method for calibrating the electric press, which can implement a rapid calibration operation. An electric press (10) includes a ram location information storage unit (63) and a load control unit (64). The ram location information storage unit (63) stores ram location information, corresponding to actual load values and representing locations to which a ram is moved, in advance. The load control unit (64) applies an actual load, corresponding to at least one location which belongs to the locations represented by the ram location information and to which the ram is moved, to a compression target by moving the ram to the location. Accordingly, the load value output by the detection unit is calibrated based on the actual load value applied to the compression target.

The press device is a press device configured to press a workpiece, and includes a slide, a bolster, a servomotor, and a control section. The slide is movable. The bolster is placed to face the slide. The servomotor drives the slide. The control section is configured to be able to execute selectively either the productivity priority mode of setting a limit value slower than the maximum press speed of the press device to the press speed when performing a pendulum motion or a reverse motion, or the moldability priority mode of setting a stop time to the servomotor without setting the limit value.
MOTION SETTING METHOD FOR TRANSFER PRESS AND TRANSFER PRESS
A transfer press includes a press machine that moves a slide up and down in accordance with pressing motion, and a transport device that moves a retainer in accordance with transfer motion to transport a workpiece. The transfer press includes a creation unit, a determination unit, and a phase adjustment unit. The creation unit creates a three-dimensional operating curved surface based on the provisionally set pressing motion and the provisionally set transfer motion. The determination unit compares a standard upper die interference curved surface with the operating curved surface in the same three-dimensional coordinate system to determine whether the operating curved surface is present within an interference region of the standard upper die interference curved surface. The phase adjustment unit changes a relative phase of the transfer motion relative to the pressing motion when the operating curved surface is present within the interference region.

A transfer press includes a press machine that moves a slide up and down in accordance with pressing motion, and a transport device that moves a retainer in accordance with transfer motion to transport a workpiece. A transfer device transfers a workpiece by a transfer motion which is based on a transfer individual phase signal synchronized with a master phase signal, and includes: a setting unit that sets a point on a trajectory of a transfer bar as a switching point of a timing switch, the point on the trajectory being separated from a reference point on the trajectory by a designated distance designated by a user, and the trajectory being based on the transfer motion; and a signal output unit that outputs a timing signal to an external device at a timing when the transfer bar reaches the switching point.

A forming and/or separating device 10 as well as a method for operating the same and particularly a method for checking of an undisturbed operation of the forming and/or separating device 10. The forming and/or separating device 10 is configured to process an initial workpiece 12 in a working area 19 between two tool parts 14, 15 in a chipless forming manner. An image-capturing sensor 20 captures the working area 19 and can capture at least one captured image B during the operation of the forming and/or separating device 10. An evaluation unit 24 compares the at least one captured image B with at least one reference image R or a reference model, if the forming and/or separating device 10 is in a defined operating condition. Based on the comparison it is checked whether a disturbance exists.

A load detection device includes a detector, a wireless transmitter, a power source, and a controller. The load detection device is provided in dies that includes a first die and a second die. The load detection device is installed on at least one of the first die and the second die and configured to detect whether the first die and the second die are in a closed state. The controller is configured to execute an electricity cutoff process of stopping electricity supply from the power source to the detector and the wireless transmitter when the closed state of the first die and the second die has continued for a predetermined time.
