Metal chips compactor
There is provided an apparatus for compacting metal chips comprising a power screw; a compactor cylinder adapted to receive metal chips from one end and to receive the power screw from another end to compact the metal chips; a worm gear operably connected to the power screw for applying pressure to the compactor cylinder; a motor; a worm screw adapted to be powered by the motor and to be connected to the worm gear for rotating the worm gear when the motor is in operation; a sensor for measuring the velocity of the power screw; and a microcontroller adapted to be connected to the motor and to the sensor; wherein the microcontroller is adapted to power the motor for rotation as long as the velocity of the power screw is above a given velocity threshold and to stop powering the motor when the velocity reaches said given velocity threshold.
DISCHARGE CHUTE FOR A TABLET MACHINE AND A METHOD FOR SORTING PELLETS AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN PRODUCED IN A TABLET MACHINE
The invention relates to a discharge chute (1) for a tablet-making machine, and to a method for sorting tablets after they have been produced in a tablet-making machine. The discharge chute (1) is characterised in that the channels (4, 5, 6, 13), into which the tablets are guided and/or sorted after they have been produced, are arranged on two planes (2, 3), the sorting of the tablets taking place with tandem sorting devices (7, 14). A sorting device preferably comprises two bars (8, 9, 10, 11), which are preferably designated as sorting bars (8, 10) and as separating bars (9, 11). The sorting bar (8, 10) preferably comprises a linear drive (17), which is preferably connected by means of a rocking lever (22) to the separating bar (9, 11). If the sorting bar (8, 10) moves upwards out of the rest position into the sorting position, the separating bar (9, 11) falls downwards automatically and frees the opening of the sorting channel.

APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING HOT BRIQUETTED IRON
A hot briquetted iron (HBI) production apparatus including a feeder unit, a quantitative dispenser unit, a hot briquette forming unit, and a cylindrical cooler, the feeder unit cooling and transporting direct reduced iron (DRI), the quantitative dispenser unit pulverizing the DRI and discharging a fixed amount of the DRI each time, the hot briquette forming unit forming hot iron briquettes by hot-pressing the DRI, the cooler unit cooling the hot iron briquettes, and including a cylindrical body with an inlet and an outlet, a transport screw or blade for transporting the hot iron briquettes, and a cooling water spray nozzle, the transport screw and the cooling water spray nozzle being disposed inside the cylindrical body, the hot iron briquettes being introduced into the cooler unit through the inlet and discharged from the cooler unit through the outlet, and cooling water being discharged from the cooler unit through the inlet.
AUTO-ALIGNING VACUUM PRESS
Auto-aligning vacuum presses, that include a mobile assembly with a first platen, a vacuum docking station with a second platen, a first locating device to guide the mobile assembly to a desired location along the Y-axis as the mobile assembly moves along the X-axis into the vacuum station, and a second locating device to guide one of the first and second platens along the Z-axis into sealing engagement with the other platen.
Nuclearized hot isostatic press
There is disclosed a nuclearized hot-isostatic press (HIP) system comprising, a high temperature HIP furnace and a multi-wall vessel surrounding the furnace, such as a dual walled vessel comprising concentric vessels. The described multi-walled vessel comprises at least one detector contained between the walls to detect a gas leak, a crack in a vessel wall, or both. The disclosed HIP system also comprises multiple heads located on top and underneath the furnace, a yoke frame, and a lift for loading and unloading a HIP can to the high temperature HIP furnace. There is also disclosed a method of using such a system to provide ease of maintenance, operation, decontamination and decommissioning.
