METHOD FOR PRODUCING A BLANK FOR A PACKAGING ITEM, BLANK AND PACKAGING MADE FROM A BLANK
The invention relates to a method for producing a blank for a packaging item having a cellulose-containing base material with at least one line from the group of folding, crease, cutting, scored and/or bending lines, wherein the at least one line is defined at least in sections by the application of water and/or of at least one hygroscopic substance to the base material. The invention also relates to a blank for producing a packaging item including a cellulose-containing base material having at least one line from the group of folding, crease, cutting, scored and/or bending lines, wherein the at least one line is defined at least in sections by water and/or by at least one hygroscopic substance applied to the base material. The invention further relates to a method for producing a packaging item from a blank of this type, and to a corresponding packaging item for storing goods.
PAPER CONTAINER TOP FLANGE
A plurality of camming surfaces (116) are actuated to move against the top portion of the side walls (38) of a container (36) to turn such top portion in an outward direction relative to the interior of the container sufficiently to enable the seal profile (90) of the top tool assembly (30) of a sealing apparatus (22) to press the outwardly disposed side wall top portions downwardly against an abutment formed by a bottom tool assembly (32) so as to create a horizontal, outwardly disposed sealing flange (40) to which a top film (34) is applied for closure of the container.
INVERSION TRANSFER MODULE FOR A CONVERTING MACHINE
The present invention relates to an inversion transfer module (60) for a converting machine having a printing module (16) comprising a first printing unit (17) arranged to print on a top side (S1) of the sheet (1), and a second printing unit (17) arranged to print a bottom side (S2) of the sheet. The inversion transfer module is arranged between the first printing unit and the second printing unit and comprises a first inversion vacuum transfer (62) arranged to contact the first side of the sheet and a second inversion vacuum transfer (64) configured to contact the second side of the sheet, whereby the inversion transfer module is configured to change the side of adherence and transportation of the sheet.
MANUFACTURING METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR CONTAINERS AND PACKAGING
A machine is configured to transition a blank having a fold line extending therein directly between first and second panels thereof. The machine includes a side support configured to abut an underside of the first panel, and a vacuum gripper including a suction cup that is extendable into suctioning engagement with an underside of the second panel, and that is retractable while maintaining suctioning engagement with the underside of the second panel. The vacuum gripper is configured to pull the second panel downward by retraction of the suction cup while maintaining suctioning engagement with the underside of the second panel and while the side support abuts the first panel, whereby the first panel bends along the fold line upwardly relative to the second panel. A rod is extendable into engagement with the underside of the first panel for further bending of the first panel along the fold line.
APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF TAILORED, PRE-FOLDED BLANKS OF CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
An apparatus for production of corrugated cardboard pre-folded blanks includes: a frame defining a working plane; a feeding unit which receives a cardboard sheet and moves it in a longitudinal direction on the working plane; a sensor unit for detecting input data regarding the size of an item to be packed; a control unit which receives and processes the input data to generate a setting for the apparatus; a plurality of cutters and creasers to make cuts and folding lines on the cardboard sheet to form the blank; a plurality of actuators moving the cutters and the creasers relative to the frame based on the setting; a glue applicator for applying a strip of glue on a portion of the blank; a folding unit having first and second folding hands for folding front and rear flaps of the blank to overlap and be attached by the glue strip.
DEVICE FOR RUPTURING ATTACHMENT ZONES ON FOLDING BOXES AND PRODUCTION UNIT COMPRISING SUCH A RUPTURE DEVICE
This severing device (1) includes an upper pressing member (2), a pile support part (4) having a plurality of conveying members (10) for conveying the pile in a conveying direction (X), a lower pressing member (6) arranged under the conveying members (10). The conveying members (10) are juxtaposed in a transverse direction. Two juxtaposed conveying members can be parted. The lower pressing member (6) has: i) two adjacent lower plates (6.1, 6.2) that can be moved apart, and ii) a lower translation actuator (6.3) for moving the lower plates (6.1, 6.2) so as to cause the severance slot (2.0) between juxtaposed conveying members to coincide with a frangible line in the plate.
Apparatus, Method and System for the Careful Pre-Folding of Carton Sleeves
An apparatus for the pre-folding of carton sleeves includes at least two folding bars for pre-folding the ridge areas and the triangular areas of the carton sleeves, and at least one folding block that can be introduced into the carton sleeves. The folding bars each have at least one contact area for pre-folding the ridge areas. In addition a method and a system are provided for the pre-folding of carton sleeves. In order to achieve a particularly careful and damage-free pre-folding of the carton sleeves, it is proposed to provide at least one back folder for folding back the triangular areas.
Flight lug for octagonal cartons
A carton conveyer for a packaging machine has upper and lower flights to which sets of flight lugs are attached. Each set of flight lugs comprises leading flight lugs and trailing flight lugs and the leading flight lugs have recesses that face and oppose recesses on the trailing flight lugs. The recesses are formed to confine an open carton therebetween. Notches are formed in the flight lugs in such a way that movement of the leading and trailing flight lugs toward one another causes an un-erected carton between the lugs to be captured and erected.
Apparatus and Method for Pre-Folding Packaging Sleeves
Shown and described is an apparatus for the pre-folding of packaging sleeves including: at least one folding device with folding tools for pre-folding the bottom surfaces of a packaging sleeve and at least one folding device with folding tools for pre-folding the gable surfaces of a packaging sleeve. In order to achieve a precise and rapid pre-folding of the gable surfaces of a packaging sleeve on a compact system, it is proposed that all the folding devices are mounted movably in the vertical and in the horizontal direction. In addition, a method for the pre-folding of packaging sleeves is shown and described.
