Case former with case-squaring assembly
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a case former configured to receive a case in a blank configuration, open the case into a tubular configuration, fold the lower minor flaps to manipulate the case into a partially closed-bottom configuration, square the case while in the partially closed-bottom configuration, and fold and tape the lower major flaps shut to manipulate the case into a closed-bottom configuration. The squaring step ensures that the case has a rectangular cross-section after taping rather than a rhomboid cross-section.
Device and method for erecting predominantly plane material blanks
The invention pertains to a device and a method for producing hollow bodies that are open on one side of predominantly plane material blanks by erecting and gluing their sides along prepared bending edges, wherein said device features a shaft that is arranged directly downstream of the erecting elements and accommodates the hollow bodies in order to cure the glued joints, and wherein the products are spaced apart from one another during their transport within the shaft. The transport device provided for this purpose preferably acts directly upon the glued edges or areas located adjacent thereto such that the glued joint is continuously stabilized during the curing process.

GRIPPING DEVICE, LOADING STATION AND A METHOD FOR GRIPPING A STACK
Gripping device adapted for gripping a stack of flat-folded cartons, where the gripping device comprises a first gripping jaw and a second gripping jaw arranged adjacent each other and enclosing a holding space, where the gripping device is provided with a first open state in which the distance between the gripping jaws is greater than the height of a flat-folded carton, and where the gripping device is provided with a second closed state in which the distance between the gripping jaws is less than the height of a flat-folded carton, and that the gripping device is adapted to displace one side of the stack of flat-folded cartons in a longitudinal direction, such that each flat-folded carton of the stack of flat-folded cartons will be held in an angled state by the gripping device. The advantage of the invention is that a stack of flat-folded cartons can be held in a secure way, where the height of the stack is reduced when the stack is held.
DEVICE FOR PROCESSING A PLATE ELEMENT, PROCESSING UNIT AND PACKAGING PRODUCTION MACHINE
A device for processing a plate element (35) has a rotable hub (52), two tools (57, 58), mounted on the hub (52) to process the element (35) when each tool is in a respective processing position; a drive to rotate the hub (52) and the two tools (57, 58); a rotatable counter-tool (64). The rotation (R) of the hub (52) varies during a rotation cycle of the hub (52), and includes two constant speed phases during each of which one of the two tools (57, 58) is, in succession, in the processing position; and at least one phase with each of the two tools (57, 58) in an intermediate position between the respective processing positions, so as to achieve a front lateral processing position and a rear lateral processing position on the element (35).

UNIT AND METHOD FOR PLACING OBJECTS IN BOXES
A unit for boxing packaged food products including: a first rotary element with at least one first receiving seat; a first transfer station for transferring a blank from a magazine for feeding blanks to the first receiving seat; a folding station for opening up the blank; a second rotary element with at least one second receiving seat; a second transfer station for transferring the blank folded open from the first receiving seat to the second receiving seat; an insertion station for inserting the packaged food products inside the blank folded open positioned on the second receiving seat; and a closing station for closing the blank folded open, positioned on the second receiving seat and containing the packaged food products.
CASE-MAKING DEVICE
It is generally a goal to reduce the height dimension of a case-making device. A case-making device 90 comprises a box-sheet-holding part 10 and an extraction part 20. The box-sheet-holding part 10 holds a plurality of box sheets S to be processed into container boxes B such that the box sheets S extend in an upright direction UR. The extraction part 20 extracts one box sheet S from the box-sheet-holding part 10. An upright-direction UR dimension of the box sheet S is a first dimension H1. The extraction part 20 moves the box sheet S in the upright direction UR by a second dimension H2 shorter than the first dimension H1.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING AND SEALING A CONTAINER HAVING CENTERING TABS
A machine for forming and sealing a top of a container is provided. The machine includes a conveyor configured to transport the container through the machine, a forming section including at least one bullet arm configured to fold a trailing centering tab of the container, and a compression section downstream from the forming section and including a compression device configured to fold a leading centering tab of the container.
