Method of making a preassembled display with automatic stackable supports

A method of making a preassembled display with automatic stackable supports (PDASS) is described. A PDASS may include two or more blanks (for example pieces of corrugated paperboard) that are joined together, for example to initially form a knocked down flat (KDF). The PDASS may include an insert formed from a single blank, where the single insert blank, when the whole display is erected, automatically erects and provides asymmetric supports that form at opposing corners of the outer blank.

Packaging sleeve

The package includes a first sleeve, the first sleeve including, a first front panel and a first back panel that oppose each other, a first side panel and a second side panel that oppose each other, and at least one first top panel that at least partially assists in closing a first end of the first sleeve. A respective free edge of the first front panel, the first back panel, the first side panel and the second side panel collectively define a first opening at a second end of the first sleeve. The first front panel, the first back panel, the first side panel and the second side panel collectively form a first rounded corner and a second rounded corner on the first end of the first sleeve.

Method for manufacturing an object and packaging

A method for manufacturing an object, such as a tray includes providing an unfolded sheet; providing a straight score line in the unfolded sheet for providing a division between a wall part and a flange part; folding the flange part of the sheet relative to the wall part along the score line to provide an angle larger than 45° between the flange part and the wall part; providing a plastic foil; heating the plastic foil; pressing the heated foil on the sheet at the side provided with the score line and covering at least part of the wall part and the flange part; the sheet having at least one U-shaped cut interrupting the score line. The free ends of the U-shaped cut are positioned on the score line. The bridging part of the U-shaped cut is positioned in the flange part.

Folded-cap containers and method for making same

A blank assembly for forming a folded-cap container includes a first blank of sheet material that includes a pair of end panels, a pair of side panels, and a plurality of corner panels connected in series along a plurality of fold lines. Each of the end panels and side panels has a bottom edge that is substantially aligned with the respective bottom edges of the other end panels and side panels. Also, each of the four corner panels has a bottom free edge that is offset towards a central horizontal axis of the first blank from the bottom edges of the end panels and side panels. The blank assembly also includes a second blank of sheet material that includes a top panel and a lifting panel connected by a fold line. The top panel is configured to be coupled adjacent to a top edge of one of the end panels.

Method for Controlling a Folding Box Machine for Quality Assurance

A method controls a folding box machine having a plurality of machining stations and a plurality of control devices for controlling the quality of folding boxes. Each control device controls different quality features of each folding box, and each control device transmits the result of the control to a control unit. Target values are stored in the control unit in order to classify the control results into results which meet the quality standard and results which do not meet the quality standard, and a folding box is discharged depending on an evaluation. The method advantageously reduces waste.

A slotter apparatus includes a slotter knife rotatable in a same direction as a conveyance direction of a sheet that is conveyed on a conveyance path, the slotter knife having a cutting edge, for forming a notch groove in the sheet, on an outer periphery of the slotter knife. A protruding part protrudes outward from the cutting edge at one end of the slotter knife, the protruding part cutting an end part of the notch groove by piercing the sheet. A drive device that drives the slotter knife so as to rotate. A control device that, at least when the protruding part passes through from the upper surface of the sheet, controls the relative relationship between the circumferential velocity of the slotter knife and the conveyance velocity of the sheet so that the protruding part does not interfere with the end part.
