METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PAPERBOARD BOTTLE AND PAPERBOARD BOTTLE
20220185529 · 2022-06-16 · ·

A method for manufacturing a paperboard bottle and spiral-wound paperboard bottle. The bottle has a tubular body portion, a shoulder and neck portion having a circular cross-section narrowing from the body portion to a circular mouth. The paperboard bottle is a liquid packaging board having thermoplastic polymer coating on both sides. The method includes cutting a planar elongated blank from a packaging board sheet. Protecting exposed cut raw edge of the first longitudinal edge against absorption of liquid. Securing the first end of the blank to a rotatable mandrel having a rotation axis (x) and an outer shape corresponding to the shape of the bottle. Rotating the mandrel to wind the blank spirally onto the mandrel, so that the longitudinal edges overlap applying heat-sealing energy and pressure, onto the overlapping longitudinal edges to form a bottle with hermetically sealed spiral seam and removing the mandrel from inside the bottle.

AGITATOR AND SHEET TRANSPORT DEVICE INCLUDING THE AGITATOR

An agitator for agitating sheets of material passing through a sheet transport device that has upper and lower guide sections defining a sheet transport path therebetween. The agitator includes first and second sets of rollers each having a roller axis of rotation and a width, and the rollers are mounted to at least one holder such that the axes of rotation of the rollers are radially spaced from a line and such that rotating the at least one holder around the line causes the rollers to orbit around the line. At least one support supports the holder for rotation around the line, and the set of first rollers is spaced from the set of second rollers in the direction of the line by a distance greater than the width of the rollers. Also a sheet transport device including the agitator.

COATED PAPERBOARD CONTAINER, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A COATED PAPERBOARD CONTAINER, AND CUP BOTTOM FORMING APPARATUS

A method of manufacturing a coated paperboard container includes: providing a coated paperboard bottom blank, the coated paperboard bottom blank comprising a paperboard substrate and a first barrier coating layer on a first outermost surface of the paperboard substrate; heating the coated paperboard bottom blank; shaping the heated coated paperboard bottom blank, thereby forming a peripheral skirt portion about a periphery of a bottom wall portion of the coated paperboard bottom blank; and sealing a coated paperboard sidewall to the first barrier coating layer of the peripheral skirt portion.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COVERING BOXES

A box laminating machine with two rubbing-down devices that lie opposite of one another with respect to the box to be covered, wherein each rubbing-down device has a counter-holder that plunges into the box and a rubbing-down element that sweeps over the wall to be covered, which is supported against the counter-holder. The rubbing-down operation of opposing walls takes place successively, wherein a movement of the box relative to the counter-holder takes place perpendicular to the wall to be rubbed down.

Blank for forming a container

A blank has an upper surface and a reverse surface. The upper surface is printed in a conventional manner and includes outer side panels and inner side panels. Attachment regions are provided on the inner side panels of the outer surface, and corresponding attachment regions are provided on the outer side panels of the reverse surface. During assembly the respective attachment regions are arranged to face one another and an adhesive is provided therebetween. In the present method, the attachment regions of the upper surface initially have a surface tension in the range from around 34 dynes/cm to 60 dynes/cm before the upper surface is printed. The attachment regions are treated in order to maintain a surface tension in the desired range of 34 dynes/cm to 60 dynes/cm, following printing and before any adhesive is applied. This is achieved by applying an auxiliary printing medium to the attachment regions.

PAPER SHEET FITTING METHOD AND PAPER MOLDED ARTICLE

A method for fitting a paper sheet includes a water absorption step of causing a region of the paper sheet to absorb water, the region being at least a part of the paper sheet; a placing step of placing the region of the paper sheet between one set of first molding surfaces of a press mold; a molding step of molding the region of the paper sheet into a three-dimensional shape, by closing the press mold; a layering step of layering another paper sheet that is not caused to absorb water on the molded paper sheet, after opening the press mold; a fitting step of fitting the molded paper sheet and the another paper sheet by closing the press mold to mold a laminate into a three-dimensional shape; and a removal step of removing a molded article including a fitting portion, after opening the press mold.

LINE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF COVERED CARDBOARD BOXES
20210362454 · 2021-11-25 ·

A line and method for the production of covered cardboard boxes are disclosed. The line includes a conveyor unit including a belt and a conveyor actuator that drives the belt intermittently in an alternating sequence of movements and stops. A feed unit individually feeds covering blanks from a reservoir to the conveyor unit in a sequence of feed instants. An erecting machine folds box blanks into corresponding boxes. A positioner individually positions the boxes from the erecting machine, in alignment on corresponding covering blanks disposed on the belt of the conveyor unit. A gluer spreads glue on one face of the covering blanks. A covering machine folds the covering blanks into contact with their respective boxes to cover the boxes. A control unit connected to the feed unit adjustably sets a phase displacement of the feed instants relative to the sequence of stops of the belt.
