Leak proof container with adhesive attachment
A leak proof container and a method of forming the container from a blank. The blank includes a bottom panel, first and second side panels connected to the bottom panel at opposing lateral edges, and first and second end portions located at opposing longitudinal ends of the blank. Each end portion includes an inner end panel connected to the bottom panel, an outer end panel connected to the inner end panel, and first and second corner panels forming gussets connected to a respective one of the first and second side panels and connected to the inner end panel. An adhesive area is located on one side of the blank and comprises at least a portion on each of the outer end panel and the inner end panel. The adhesive area adheres the gussets to the inner end panel and to the outer end panel.
THERMOPLASTIC BAGS WITH DUPLICATIVE SEALS
A thermoplastic bag includes duplicative seals. In particular, in one or more implementations, a thermoplastic bag includes a first seal and at least a second seal reinforcing the same area of the thermoplastic bag. For instance, in one or more implementations, the thermoplastic bag includes multiple seals along each side edge or along the hem. If one seal fails, the other seal(s) can remain in place to prevent leaks. Thus, the duplicative seals of the thermoplastic bag can provide reinforced strength and desired aesthetics.
Apparatus for feeding bag
A film roll on which a tube film is wound is supported by a lower shelf of a frame. The tube film is fed from a reel mechanism. A table for guiding the fed tube film is provided in the upper part of the apparatus. The tube film held by a clip mechanism on the table is drawn to the front end of the table, and the drawn tube film is cut into a predetermined length while being pressed by a press cutter. The clip mechanism is provided with a clip including a pair of fingers for holding the tube film. The clip mechanism is provided on a slide mechanism for reciprocating the clip.
BAG-MAKING AND PACKAGING APPARATUS
A bag-making and packaging apparatus includes a bag-making and packaging unit, a film feeding unit, a splicing device, and a control unit. The control unit allows a bag-making operation to continue by utilizing an auto-feeding function that feeds to the bag-making and packaging unit a film F spliced by the splicing device to take the place of a film F currently being fed to the bag-making and packaging unit. When the control unit judges that at least one of the film feeding unit and the splicing device is malfunctioning in a case where the control unit is utilizing the auto-feeding function, the control unit stops the auto-feeding function and executes a non-auto-feeding mode. The non-auto-feeding mode allows the bag-making operation to be continued by the bag-making and packaging unit and a film roll holding unit that is operable among plural film roll holding units.
Method and apparatus for pouch or bag making
A method and apparatus for making bags or pouches is disclosed. It includes a track, at least two sleds that move on the track, and operating stations mounted on the sleds. The film moves along the track, and the sleds move with the film while performing operations on the film. The system can have the sleds stationary while operating for an intermittent machine, and move to reconfigure when the film is moving. The operating stations include one or more of a sealer, a heater, a cooler, an inserter, a knife, a punch, a perforator, a static charger, and a printer. The track forms a continuous path or is linear. A controller controls the sleds and operating stations. The controller includes an operating time and/or a reconfiguration module. The operating time module is responsive to a user set material thickness or a sensed material thickness.
Punching unit and manufacturing apparatus for bag having reclosable tape
Punched and incised portions can be formed properly, in which it is not necessary to replace an anvil depending on a type of a sheet material. A punching unit 51 comprises: a punching blade 50 for punching a first panel material 11, a second panel material 12, an open tape and a mounting base portion so as to form a punching portion; a incising portion 51 for incising the second panel material 12 and the mounting base portion disposed on the open tape so as to form a incising portion; and an adjusting portion 54 for adjusting a first gap 56 in a punching direction 5Z between edges 50A and 51A of the punching and incising blades 50 and 51.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PACKAGING INSTRUMENTS OR OTHER ITEMS WITH BAG MAKING FEATURES
A bagmaker interoperable with an item processor is disclosed, the bagmaker being configured to produce bags for packaging items for sterilization, such as medical instruments. The bagmaker may include a controller interoperable with a bag production device, the bag production device including a bag cutter and a heat sealer, such that tubing may be sealed and cut, such that a bag of a specified length is formed. Operation of the bagmaker may include identifying tubing corresponding to a bag width of the bag, advancing tubing to correspond with the length of the bag, sealing at least a first end of the tubing, and then advancing and cutting the tubing; ejecting the bag from the bagmaker and retracting remaining uncut tubing, wherein the retraction and ejection may occur contemporaneously or interchangeably in order.
Method of Performing a Task in Registration With a Seal In Materials and Flexible Containers Made By Method
A method for performing a task in registration with a discrete seal in at least one material is described herein. The method involves simultaneously forming a discrete seal and a fiducial/eye mark in the at least one material. The method includes providing a detection device; providing a unit operation mechanism; and performing an operation on the material(s) in registration with the discrete seal. The task performed in registration with the discrete seal is based upon the location of the eye mark that was simultaneously formed with the discrete seal. A method of making flexible containers using cutting to form the outer periphery of the packages is described herein. Also described herein are flexible containers and container blanks made by such a method.
Digital printing on paper bags for low volume applications
Embodiments of a method of printing low volumes of paper bags on a digital printing press are provided. In the method, a plurality of orders are received. Each order includes a particular format relating to a bag size selected from a predetermined number of bag sizes and a graphic to be printed. In the method, the plurality of orders are organized into a plurality of batches. Each batch includes orders of the plurality of orders having a same bag size. A first batch is selected, and the graphic of the orders contained in the first batch is digitally printed on a first roll of paper having dimensions associated with the bag size of the first batch. The first roll of paper is fed through the digital printing press, and the digital printing press prints the graphic of each order contained in the first batch without stopping when transitioning between orders.
