A transport device of the device for the production of bags from pieces of tube transports the pieces of tube. In doing so, the pieces of tube pass through processing for the formation of cross bottoms. A transfer device transfers the pieces of tube consecutively to the transport device so that the rear side edge of one piece of tube is always at a distance from the front side edge of the subsequent piece of tube. Retaining elements are arranged on a transport chain at a defined distance. Depending on the width of the pieces of tube and the defined spacing of the retaining elements, the distance between the pieces of tube is adjusted in such a way that, during the transport of the pieces of tube, the retaining elements always assume the same positions relative to the front side edge of each piece of tube, independently of the width of the pieces of tube.

Method of aligning air burst on bag wicketer processing line
A method includes a bag forming process with a bag wicketing machine having a sideweld seal head that receives plies of web material, conveys the plies through the sideweld seal head, seals the plies together, cuts the plies to form a bag blank, and moves the bag blank onto an exit conveyor. Pressurized air from nozzles of a pneumatic blow down bar is directed at the bag blank. With an energized laser operatively mounted on the pneumatic blow down bar, the position of the pneumatic blow down bar relative to the bag blank and the exit of the sideweld seal head is adjusted so that a beam emanating from the laser is positioned against the bag blank at a desired location where pressurized air from the nozzles of the pneumatic blow down bar is directed against the bag blank and forces the bag blank into engagement with the conveyor.

The task performed in registration with the discrete seal is based upon the location of the eye mark that was simultaneously formed with the discrete seal. A method of making flexible containers using cutting to form the outer periphery of the packages is described herein. Also described herein are flexible containers and container blanks made by such a method.

Bag making apparatus
A bag making apparatus includes a welding device for welding a sheet panel and a strip member in a zone where the sheet panel is intermittently fed by a feed device and a cut device disposed downstream of the welding device to cross-cut the sheet panel and the strip member every intermitted feed cycle. The welding device include a pressure unit for pressurizing the sheet panel and the strip member superposed on each other and a laser unit for irradiating the sheet panel or the strip member with a laser beam at an irradiation position upstream of a pressure position of the pressure unit to melt the sheet panel or the strip member. The pressure unit and the laser unit are configured to be movable together upstream and downstream relative to the sheet panel while maintaining a relative positional relationship between the pressure position and the irradiation position.
BAGS WITH MARKS AND SYSTEMS OF MAKING SAME
A system for manufacturing bags with counting marks includes a workstation for making bags, and a coding machine for spraying counting marks on the bags. The coding machine includes a main body, a fixing structure and a spraying gun. The main body has ink cartridges for providing ink and a pressure mechanism to spray the ink through the spraying gun. The spraying gun is fixed to a fixing structure and connected to the main body via a cable such that the ink of the ink cartridges is operably moved from the ink cartridge to the spraying gun via the cable. The cable includes channels, each channel adapted for delivering a respective color of the ink. The spraying gun includes nozzles coupled to the channels for spraying the ink on the bags so as to form the counting marks thereon.
BAG MAKING MACHINE
A bag making machine for manufacturing bags from an elongated film having print patterns repeatedly printed on one surface or two surfaces at a print pitch corresponding to a predetermined number of bags includes a processing unit configured to process the film for each length corresponding to the predetermined number of bags, a moving mechanism configured to move the processing unit, a shooting device, and an image processing device. The shooting device includes not less than one line sensor installed with a longitudinal direction of the line sensor extending along the widthwise direction of the film and obtains a linear image extending throughout a width of the film for each shooting operation. The image processing device sequentially receives the linear images from the shooting device and detects the actual length of the predetermined number of bags of the film based on an image extending throughout the width of the film.
