POURING NOZZLE MADE FROM PACKAGING LAMINATE FILM AND METHOD OF FORMING TEAR-INDUCING FLAW IN PACKAGING LAMINATE FILM
A pouring nozzle is made from a packaging laminate film which is excellent in the tear-opening property and improves lowering of a liquid draining property in pouring. A method forms a tear-inducing flaw for opening a packaging laminate film suitable for use in a package bag for housing and keeping a liquid packed material. A pouring nozzle is made from a packaging laminate film having a laminate structure of not less than three layers including a base film layer and non-oriented sealant layers laminated on front and rear surface sides of the base film layer and having a pouring path at its central portion. A tear-inducing flaw is formed by irradiating a laser beam across the pouring path and to a position where a portion of at least one of the non-oriented sealant layers on the front and rear surface sides of the base film layer is displaced by pushing.
SHIPPING MAILER WITH CORRUGATED MATERIAL HAVING ADHERED AND NON-ADHERED ZONES
A shipping mailer has a one-piece body with a first wall and a second wall that are folded together and sealed along sealed side edge portions of the one-piece body, the shipping mailer having a closed first end portion and a second end portion with an opening sealable by a closure. The one-piece body includes a single face corrugated material with a liner layer and a fluted medium layer, and has a center fold line at the closed first end portion from which the first and second walls extend. The fluted medium layer has a plurality of flutes extending parallel to the center fold line, and flutes of the first wall nest with flutes of the second wall. The flutes are crushed in the sealed side edge portions such that the crushed flutes interlock, and the first and second walls fold along inner boundaries of the sealed side edge portions.
A MACHINE AND METHOD FOR MAKING BLANKS FOR BOXES TO MEASURE
A machine (1) for making blanks (2) for boxes to measure, comprises feed means configured for realizing rectangular pieces (3) of the blank (2). Each rectangular piece (3) has a width (La), measured along a first edge (3a) thereof, which width (La) is equal to a pre-determined width (La) of the blank (2) and a length (Lu), measured along a second edge (3b) of said rectangular piece, said length (Lu) being preferably less than a pre-determined length (Lu) of the blank (2). Joining means (32) are configured for joining at least two rectangular pieces (3) or one rectangular piece (3) and a piece of an intermediate blank previously made, relative to respective first edges (3a), so as to obtain a blank exhibiting an intermediate width (La), which intermediate width (La) is equal to the pre-determined width (La) of the blank (2), and a length which is greater than the pre-determined length (Lu) of the blank (2). Cutting means (40) are configured for cutting the intermediate blank parallel to the first edges in order to obtain the blank (2).
Hybrid inserter/wrapper system
The invention is a hybrid inserter/wrapper system comprising a hybrid inserter/wrapper system comprising a modular document inserter system and a unique wrapper-like envelope creation module operably connected thereto. The wrapper-like envelope creation module is configured to operate in a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, the wrapper-like envelope creation module is configured to fabricate wrapper-like outer envelopes and feed such outer envelopes to the inserter system. In the second mode, the wrapper-like envelope creation module is configured to allow the inserter to be loaded with premade envelopes and feed such envelopes to the inserter system. In either mode, the document inserter system further carries out downstream operations to thereby produce a finished mailpiece.

RE-CLOSABLE CONTAINER WITH ZIPPER
A re-closable container 1 comprises a container body 5 having an opening at an upper end for receiving and retrieving at least part of a content of the container body 5 and a zipper 3 for selectively closing and releasing the opening. The zipper 3 has a zipper line 11 along which the zipper extends from a first side 13 to a second side 15 of the container body 5. A notch 17 is arranged underneath the zipper line 11 and at the first 13 or/and at the second side 15 of the container body 5, wherein the notch 17 is configured to remove the zipper 3 by tearing off the zipper 3 from the container body 5 along a tearing line 19.
