BAG FORMING APPARATUS
A bag forming apparatus for forming a flat bottom of a bag includes a base, opposing sidewalls that extend upright relative to the base, and a top that is operably coupled to an upper portion of each of the sidewalls. The top has an intermediate pivot axis between the sidewalls that enables the top to pivot about the pivot axis between a collapsed state and an expanded state. In the collapsed state, the upper portions of the respective sidewalls are closer together and the top extends upright relative to the base to form a tip for insertion into an opening of the bag. In the expanded state, the upper portions of the respective sidewalls are spaced further apart and the top extends horizontally relative to the base to form a platform for forming the flat bottom of the bag.
RECTANGULAR-BOTTOMED PACKAGING BAG, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RECTANGULAR-BOTTOMED PACKAGING BAG
A rectangular-bottomed packaging bag (1) is a rectangular-bottomed packaging bag formed by folding a sheet material member and includes a rectangular shaped bottom (2) a front (3) and a rear (4) rising from two facing sides of the bottom (2), and a pair of sides (5) connecting the front (3) and the rear (4). The pair of sides (5) each include a first region (31) positioned on the front (3) side, a second region (32) positioned on the rear (4) side, a side joining portion (33) joining the first region (31) and the second region (32), and an inclined joining portion (34) inclined to the bottom (2) side from the side joining portion (33) toward one of the front (3) and the rear (4) and joining the sheet material member of the first region (31) and the second region (32) overlapping each other in a direction of thickness.

METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF BAGS FOR THE TRANSPORT AND STORAGE OF BULK GOODS OR LIQUIDS, AND BAG OBTAINED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD
The present invention relates to a method for production of bags for the transport and storage of bulk goods or liquids, wherein use is made of tubular fabric cut into several pieces, which are then assembled together, comprising including the steps of: providing a tubular fabric; flattening the tubular fabric to form a first double-thickness fabric having two opposite sides, respectively an internal side and an external side, extending between two flattened edges; folding-in or pleating at least one of the flattened edges of the double-thickness fabric to form a gusset; cutting the tubular fabric into pieces and assembling the pieces to form a bag;
wherein the assembly of two of the pieces includes the steps of: assembling the first and second pieces by means of seams formed around or near first to fourth gusset ends.
SACK AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SACK
A pinch bottom sack fillable with bulk good includes a sleeve with at least one area element, wherein the sleeve includes a mesh and the area element a handle means including a load element at which a load force is applicable for lifting the sack, and the load element is configured such that it extends at least in some areas at least in a load condition in which the load force acts at the load element opposite to an outer side of the area element.
Flexible pipe body and method of providing same
A flexible pipe body and method of producing a flexible pipe body, the flexible pipe body including a collapse resistant layer comprising a radially inner surface and a radially outer surface, the radially inner surface comprising a plurality of substantially regular protrusions and/or depressions extending in a direction perpendicular to a tangent of the radially inner surface, for breaking up a boundary layer of fluid flowing along the flexible pipe body in use.
DEFECT DETECTING DEVICE AND BAG MAKING APPARATUS
A defect detecting device includes a detection unit and a movement mechanism. The detection unit includes a support, an arm supported by the support swingably around a swing shaft, and a sensor for detecting a displacement of the arm relative to the support. The arm includes contactors. The movement mechanism keeps the contactors away from a feed plane during a feed phase of a sheet panel, and moves the contactors to the feed plane and then moves the contactors from the feed plane during a pause phase of the sheet panel. The defect detecting device further includes a determination part configured to determine whether a defect in bag making is present based on data from the sensor.
Leak proof container with adhesive attachment
A leak proof container and a method of forming the container from a blank. The blank includes a bottom panel, first and second side panels connected to the bottom panel at opposing lateral edges, and first and second end portions located at opposing longitudinal ends of the blank. Each end portion includes an inner end panel connected to the bottom panel, an outer end panel connected to the inner end panel, and first and second corner panels forming gussets connected to a respective one of the first and second side panels and connected to the inner end panel. An adhesive area is located on one side of the blank and comprises at least a portion on each of the outer end panel and the inner end panel. The adhesive area adheres the gussets to the inner end panel and to the outer end panel.
