In one aspect, an insulation product may include a first layer and a first continuous paper sheet formed into a first plurality of flexible loops disposed on and attached to the first layer and defining a first plurality of air channels that extend in a direction that is substantially perpendicular with a machine direction of the insulation product. A take up factor of the first continuous paper sheet to the first layer may be greater than 1:1.
SINGLE FACE TUBE DIE-CUT AND SHEET PROCESS
A system comprises a corrugator single facer configured to receive a first web and a second web, to corrugate the first web and adhere the first web in a corrugated state to the second web in an uncorrugated state to form a single face corrugated web as output. The system also includes a folder gluer operatively connected to receive the single face corrugated web from the corrugated single facer. The folder gluer is configured to fold and adhere the single-face corrugated web into a tube.
Method and device for correcting the folded position of a blank in a folder-gluer
A method for checking and correcting the position of a blank (10) that includes closing the folded right-hand and left-hand flaps (17, 18) of the blank, which are positioned one above the other in an overlapping portion, checking the position of the right-hand edge (13) and of the left-hand edge (14), and comparing the position with a predetermined position in order to determine a positional deviation, if the positional deviation exceeds an admissible deviation value, and before the glue sets, fixing of the central flap (19), then holding the upper face of the right-hand flap and of the left-hand flap by a suction cup (21, 23, 24, 26), and correcting the position of the left-hand flap (18) and/or of the right-hand flap (17) by moving the suction cup (21, 23, 24, 26).
PERFORATION PATTERN FOR MULTIVARIABLE ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT BOXES AND METHOD
A perforation pattern for multivarible adjustable height box is provided with improved folding, bending, and separation of adjacent panels. The multivariable perforated adjustable height box may include a box, columns, rows, glue tabs, column scores, row scores, perforations, cuts, skips, and bundle breakers. Perforation patterns may be irregular, angled, shifted, or otherwise configured to increase usability, strength, and/or other aspects of the packaging. A method to produce a packaging device with improved folding, bending, and separation of adjacent panels using the multivariable perforated adjustable height box is also provided.
Leak proof container with push lock body
A leak proof container and a method of forming the container from a blank. The blank includes a bottom panel, first and second side panels connected to the bottom panel at opposing lateral edges, and first and second end portions located at opposing longitudinal ends of the blank. Each end portion includes an inner end panel connected to the bottom panel, an outer end panel connected to the inner end panel, and first and second corner panels, each corner panel having an edge connected to a respective one of the first and second side panels and having an edge connected to the inner end panel. First and second locking tabs are defined in the outer end panel, each locking tab being defined by a lateral separation line located longitudinally inward from an outer longitudinal edge of the outer end panel and extending laterally to define a free tab end.
CORRUGATED PAPERBOARD BOX MAKING MACHINE
A corrugated paperboard box making machine comprises: a slotter device comprising a rotatable cylindrical-shaped upper slotter, and a slotter blade detachably attached onto an outer periphery of the upper slotter, wherein the slotter device performs slotting on a corrugated paperboard sheet; and an upper-level management device and/or a lower-level management device configured to control the slotter device. The management device is configured to set a limit value of the length of the slotter blade for satisfying a given condition determined from the perimeter of the upper slotter, dimensions of a corrugated paperboard box to be produced by the corrugated paperboard box making machine, and a production mode to be set to operate the slotter device in conformity to the box to be produced, and determine whether or not the length of a given slotter blade to be attached to the slotter device exceeds the limit value.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR PRODUCING HERMETIC SINGLE-USE FOOD CONTAINERS SUCH AS COFFEE PODS, INCLUDING A CREASING STEP
The invention concerns a manufacturing process for producing hermetic single-use food containers, including: forming a 3D container body having a peripheral upper rim by stamping a 2D blank in a press, the 2D blank including a rim portion (11) and a wall portion (12); applying a closing lid over the 3D container body and sealing the closing lid with the rim. The manufacturing process is characterized in that it comprises a creasing step before forming the 3D container body, where creases (13) are formed in a peripheral zone of the 2D blank (10) by creasing or embossing the 2D blank with a creasing or embossing plate, the thus pre-creased peripheral zone covering at least a part of the rim portion (11) of the 2D blank.
BOX AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING THE SAME
A box suitable for the packaging of a consumer product is formed by helically wrapping an elongated continuous strip of material around a mandrel to form a main body with a plurality of bands. In one embodiment, adjacent bands partially overlie one another to form a multi-paneled main body with an open top end and an open bottom end. An adhesive is disposed within the region of contact between adjacent bands to retain the shape of the main body. First and second sets of slots are formed in the main body to create flaps dimensioned to selectively enclose the open top and bottom ends, respectively. To define the flaps and promote pivotal articulation, the main body is also preferably provided with score lines. By adjusting the configuration of the mandrel, a customized box can be constructed that is sized to receive a consumer product with limited wasted space.
Container having a push-in locking device and blank therefor
A container formed from at least one blank of sheet material includes a tray, a cover configured to close the tray, and a locking device. The tray includes a tray front panel. The cover includes a cover front panel that extends downwardly from a front edge of a cover top panel. The cover front panel is configured to be positioned in an at-least partially overlapping arrangement with the tray front panel when the cover is closed. The locking device includes a locking tab hingedly attached to the cover top panel and struck in part from the cover top panel and in part from the cover front panel. The locking device also includes a locking recess struck from an upper edge of the tray front panel. The locking device is configured such that the locking tab can be pressed down into the locking recess to selectively secure the cover to the tray in a closed and locked configuration.
Box Target
A firearm target is formed from a cardboard substrate. A first target is printed on the cardboard substrate. The cardboard substrate is folded into a box shape. The cardboard substrate is cut to form a first flap and a second flap on a first side of the cardboard substrate. The first flap and second flap include notches. The first flap and second flap are folded over with the notches interlocked. The flaps can be oriented to the bottom of the box shape and weighted for stability. A second target can be mounted to the box shape over the first target.
