DEVICE FOR CRACKING AN EGG
A device for cracking eggs is provided. The device has a generally flat blade portion secured to an arched base portion. The generally flat blade portion is used to cut or crack the egg. The generally flat blade portion is perpendicularly secured to the arched base portion wherein the arched base portion mirrors the arc of the exterior surface of an average egg. A user uses the generally flat blade portion to strike the egg. The arched base portion stops the generally flat blade portion from penetrating the egg past a predetermined point. In some embodiments, a padded attachment or a spring loaded contact surface may be secured to the arched base portion and may prevent the device from over-cutting or cracking the egg. In alternative embodiments, the back of the arched base portion has a loop for securing a finger. Finally, a handle may be secured to the arched base portion to easily grasp the device.
Egg breaking apparatus and a method for increasing the yield of an egg breaking process
An egg breaking apparatus for breaking eggs having shell and contents including yolk and albumen, includes a plurality of egg breaking devices, each adapted for holding, breaking and opening a single egg at a time, and an albumen collection unit for collecting albumen remaining on shells and/or egg breaking devices after the contents have been discharged under the influence of gravity. The albumen collection unit has at least one collection member with at least one opening adapted for allowing the passage of a fluid and at least one cover member adapted for covering the opening(s) in the collection member(s). The collection member(s) and/or the cover member(s) are moveable between a first mutual position where the cover member(s) cover(s) the opening(s) and a second mutual position where the opening(s) is/are uncovered.

Method for the detection of egg yolk
The present invention relates to a method for the detection of egg yolk in albumen, for example, but not exclusively, at least one yolk spot, comprising, breaking an egg, separating albumen and yolk, collecting albumen and yolk separately in a yolk cup and in an albumen cup, imaging of the albumen cup substantially from above with a camera, whereby an albumen image is obtained, and imaging, substantially from above, of the yolk cup, having yolk area Ay, a preselected subarea Py, whereby a yolk image in a preselected color system Sy is obtained.
EGG CRACKER, EGG SEPARATOR AND/OR EGG MIXER
An egg cracker may include a platform with a generally planar upper surface and a protrusion may extend upwardly from the generally planar upper surface of the platform to form an egg cracking structure. The platform may be connected to an annular support ring and connecting members may connect the platform and the annular support ring. The annular support ring may be sized and configured to be disposed within an upper portion of a container and, when a lid is attached to the container, the egg cracker may be enclosed by the container and lid.

Grating disc for a food processor and a food processor comprising a grating disc
A grating disc (4) arranged to be mounted within a food processor (1) and to be rotated in a direction of rotation (26). The grating disc (4) comprising at least one grating tooth (24) for grating food to be processed which tooth protrudes from a surface of the grating disc. The tooth (24) has an uninterrupted, continuous envelope surface (29) forming an outer contour of said tooth (24) which surface has gradient which spatial derivative does not change sign. The envelope surface comprises a front surface (30) which is, during use, the leading surface of the grating tooth (24). The front surface (30) extends from the grating said disc surface (23) to a distal end of the grating tooth, and is adapted to be brought into contact with said food during use of said food processor (1). The front surface (30) is delimited in one direction by the grating disc surface, and in at least one other direction by at least one grating edge (32). Due to this improved grating disc less food particles remaining on the grating disci.e. less processed food being caught by the grating toothimplying improved cleanability of the grating disc after use.
