Box and method of constructing the same
A box suitable for the packaging of a consumer product is formed by helically wrapping an elongated continuous strip of material around a mandrel to form a main body with a plurality of bands. In one embodiment, adjacent bands partially overlie one another to form a multi-paneled main body with an open top end and an open bottom end. An adhesive is disposed within the region of contact between adjacent bands to retain the shape of the main body. First and second sets of slots are formed in the main body to create flaps dimensioned to selectively enclose the open top and bottom ends, respectively. To define the flaps and promote pivotal articulation, the main body is also preferably provided with score lines. By adjusting the configuration of the mandrel, a customized box can be constructed that is sized to receive a consumer product with limited wasted space.
SHEET ROLLING DEVICE
A device for rolling a sheet includes a main casing which extends between a front face and a rear face and includes a cap which includes a first receiving slot, a sliding element translationally movably mounted in the main casing, from the front face of the casing and including a shell including a second receiving slot, a rotary element rotatably movably mounted and including a shaft housed inside the main casing, from the rear face of the casing, the shaft including an open third receiving slot, and a stop surface. In the closed position of the rolling device, the first and second slots are aligned along the same vertical plane.
Adjustable mandrel for forming stent with anti-migration features
A mandrel for forming a stent with a tapered profile and one or more anti-migration features includes a first stent shaping segment having a first diameter, a second stent shaping segment having a second diameter less than the first diameter and a tapered segment disposed therebetween. A third stent shaping segment is releasably securable to the second stent shaping segment and has a third diameter greater than the second diameter. One or more movable pins are outwardly extendable from corresponding apertures formed within the tapered segment. An actuation element is engagable with the first stent shaping segment and includes a tapered surface configured to engage the one or more movable pins and support the one or more movable pins extended from the corresponding apertures.

Convolute cardboard tube, apparatus and method for manufacturing the same
A plastic film roll includes: a convolute cardboard tube including a tubular body having a tubular body wall formed by a plurality of layers of a straight rolled cardboard sheet having a weight equal to or less than 300 gsm; a plastic film wound about the convolute cardboard tube to form a plurality of plastic film windings around the convolute cardboard tube, the plastic film windings creating a radial compression force equal to or greater than 10 bar on the tubular body wall, wherein the cardboard sheet includes a plurality of fibers, at least a majority of the fibers being substantially aligned in a tangential direction relative to the tubular body to allow the convolute cardboard tube to resist the radial compression force.
