An apparatus for producing a frustoconical barrel body made of paper has a feeding station having a pulling assembly for unwinding paper at a preset unwinding speed, a substantially frustoconical drum operable in rotation around a rotation axis, and a fly cutting device upstream of the substantially frustoconical, suitable for cutting the paper into paper sheets without stopping or reducing the preset unwinding speed. A conveyor device allows sliding of the paper sheets from the feeding station towards the substantially frustoconical drum. A method for making the frustoconical barrel body by the apparatus is provided.

An apparatus for producing a frustoconical barrel body made of paper has a feeding station having a pulling assembly for unwinding paper at a preset unwinding speed, a substantially frustoconical drum operable in rotation around a rotation axis, and a fly cutting device upstream of the substantially frustoconical, suitable for cutting the paper into paper sheets without stopping or reducing the preset unwinding speed. A conveyor device allows sliding of the paper sheets from the feeding station towards the substantially frustoconical drum. A method for making the frustoconical barrel body by the apparatus is provided.
