Method of applying labels on store shelves in a retail environment
A method of applying labels to a store shelf in a retail environment. The method includes applying labels with adhesive strips applied to a bottom surface of each label and a top laminate layer with a release coating applied to the top surface of each label. The labels in the pad are sequenced according to a store's planogram.
System and method for producing a strip of material with an integrated electronic component
The method for producing a strip of material with an integrated electronic component comprises the following steps according to the present invention: feeding a material web, cutting a first piece of material from the material web, lifting the first piece of material, applying an electronic component to the material web, once again feeding the material web with the electronic component located on it, cutting a piece of material from the material web to obtain a second piece of material on which the electronic component is located, and applying the first piece of material to the second piece of material so that the electronic component is accommodated between the first piece of material and the second piece of material.
Method For Producing A Roll Of Label Web
A roll of label web and method utilize a length of first label web having a plurality of longitudinally spaced adhesive-backed labels removably attached to a substrate wound around a tubular core in such a manner that a first and last label of the first label web are fully intact and usable. The leading and trailing ends of the first label web are cut between labels. The trailing end of the first label web is releasably attached to the core by double-sided releasable adhesive tabs that allow the trailing end of the first label web to pull free from the core for printing the last label. The leading end of the first label web is temporarily secured to the roll by adhesive tabs that are removable without damaging the first label of the first label web.

COMPOSITE STRUCTURES FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES AND RELATED METHODS
The composite structure includes a fiber-containing layer, such as a fiberboard layer or other layer having fibers from natural and/or synthetic sources, and a mineral-containing layer covering the fiber-containing layer. The fiber-containing layer and mineral-containing layer can be shaped, sized and manufactured such that the composite structure formed therefrom is capable of being machined to form a storage article. The composite structure has advantages in that it can improve whiteness, opacity, ink adhesion, materials reduction, barrier properties, recyclability, and printability. The composite can reduce polymer mass requirements for heat seal, barrier, and fiber adhesion. Further improvements include economics, pliability, and flexibility that is increased over the pliability of the fiber-containing layer alone.
Duplex liners and methods of making and using same
A duplex liner for a label. A method for making a label comprises providing a printable face ply. The method comprises making a duplex liner by: (a) providing a transparent first liner ply; (b) providing a second liner ply that is configured to be printable; and (c) using a binder to bind the first liner ply to the second liner ply. The method includes releasably securing the duplex liner to the printable face ply.
A linerless label product, manufacturing a linerless label product and use of a linerless label product for delivery of orders
This specification relates to a linerless label product intended for end uses having a short label-life and requiring manual handling, repositionability and/or removability together with lean sustainable and economical structure. A linerless label web (631, 741) comprising a direct thermal printable face (210, 630, 740) and a pressure sensitive adhesive (220) is provided. The linerless label web (631, 741) comprises the pressure sensitive adhesive (220) arranged in one or more machine-direction continuous stripes leaving one or more non-adhesive area(s) between said machine-direction continuous stripes in a cross direction of the linerless label web. A total coverage of the pressure sensitive adhesive (220) in the cross direction of the linerless label web is less than 70%, or less than 50%, or less than 30%. Further, a manufacturing method of a linerless label web (631, 741), a linerless label product roll (200) as well use of the linerless label web (631, 741) or the linerless label product roll (200) in on-demand printing for preparation and delivery of orders are provided.
