Structure formation apparatus, method and structure
According to the present disclosure there is provided a method of forming a first structure (150), comprising the steps of: providing one or more slots (124) in a material, thereby to define a plurality of strips (122) of the material, the slots (124) defining a series of connecting elements (128) connecting adjacent strips (122) of the material, the connecting elements (128) being spaced apart along a first direction (130), forming the material to provide: an array of oppositely oriented channels (152), each channel (152) extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and the array itself extending in the first direction, each channel comprising a base, and sides extending from the base; and a first, non-continuous, outer plane; and a second, non-continuous, outer plane, such that the first structure is foldable along each of the series of connecting elements about the first direction to bring the first outer plane of a first strip toward, and optionally into contact with, the first outer plane of a second, adjacent strip.
Insulated panels
An insulated panel includes a first layer defining an inner surface; a corrugated medium defining a plurality of peaks, the plurality of peaks attached to the inner surface, a plurality of flutes defined between the corrugated medium and the inner surface; and an insulation material at least partially filling a flute of the plurality of flutes.
Insulation products and methods and machines for making insulation products
The presently disclosed subject matter generally relates to recyclable insulation material for shipping containers, groceries bags, etc., machines for making the recyclable insulation material, and methods for the making the recyclable insulation material. In one aspect, an insulation product may include a first layer and a first continuous paper sheet formed into a first plurality of flexible loops disposed on and attached to the first layer and defining a first plurality of air channels that extend in a direction that is substantially perpendicular with a machine direction of the insulation product. A take up factor of the first continuous paper sheet to the first layer may be greater than 1:1.

STRUCTURE INCLUDING TESSELLATION OF UNIT CELLS INCLUDING LENS-SHAPED UNITS AND CONNECTOR UNITS
A structure, has: a tessellation of unit cells secured to one another, a unit cell of the unit cells including: a lens-shaped unit having first and second panels and a lens-shaped panel between the first and second panels, each of the first and second panels connected to a respective one of opposed arcuate folding edges of the lens-shaped panel; and a connector unit having a plurality of interconnected connector panels secured to the lens-shaped panel and to the first and second panels of the lens unit, wherein the unit cell has a unfolded configuration in which the lens-shaped unit and the connector unit lie in a common plane, and a locked configuration in which the first and second panels are rotated relative to the lens-shaped panel and in which the plurality of interconnected connector panels are folded into a flat configuration.
