A folded panel includes a fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) substrate with an outer layer secured to and at least partially covering one major surface thereof and a polymer matrix covering an opposite major surface thereof. In one embodiment, the FRP substrate is folded about a fold line to create opposed plies on either side of the fold line with the polymer matrix of one of the opposed plies contacting the polymer matrix of the other of the opposed plies and with the outer layer forming a folded edge at the fold line that is continuous with the outer layer covering the opposed plies, and the folded FRP substrate is then consolidated with the polymer matrix. In another embodiment, a fiber or fibrous material substrate is positioned between the opposed plies and the combination of the folded FRP substrate and the fiber or fibrous substrate is consolidated with the polymer matrix.

Compostable insulation for shipping container

A thermal insulation article includes a thermally insulating pad shaped to be positioned in a cavity of a rectangular prism shipping container. The pad includes a solid compostable panel formed primarily of starch and/or plant fiber pulp that holds together as a single unit, and a water-proof or water-resistant film forming a pocket enclosing the panel. The panel includes a first section, a second section, and a third section connecting the first section to the second section, the first and second section each having a central portion and two flaps that extend from the central portion beyond the third section, and wherein the panel is foldable into an open box.

Insulation panel

An insulation panel has a top barrier, a bottom barrier, and an insulation core layer disposed between to the top and bottom barriers. The insulation core layer includes a plurality of discrete hydrated compressed puffed polysaccharide particulates that are mechanically and/or chemically adhered to one another and to the top and bottom barriers. The plurality of discrete particulates defines a plurality of voids within the core layer.

Folder pocket divider and method of construction

Installable and removable inserts for pocket folders and their method of manufacturer are shown and described. Inserts have spaced part divider panels which are anchored to a base plate or form a base plate. In one embodiment, a single plate divider also forms the base and one upright divider while another element with two dividers is bonded to the base. In another embodiment two separate upright dividers are bonded together at a common upright wall and the pair is then bonded to a base. Other embodiments are disclosed.
