An environmentally-friendly cup and method of making the same are provided. The environmentally-friendly cup includes a cup body and a cup base. The cup body is formed by curling a paper material that has a first and a second portion. The second portion has a first and a second straight side. The first portion is connected to the first straight side of the second portion and is curled into a straw. The straw is adhesively bonded to the second straight side of the second portion such that the second portion is curled into a tubular wall with a top opening and a bottom opening. The top end of the straw juts out of the top opening. The straw is directly formed on the cup body and therefore can be easily carried as an integral part of the environmentally-friendly cup without getting lost.

A reusable straw kit includes an elastic sheet and a fastener. The elastic sheet has a first side, a second side, a third side, a fourth side, a fifth side, and a sixth side. The second side is substantially parallel to the first side. The third side extends from a bottom of the first side, at a first predetermined angle to the first side. The fourth side extends from a bottom of the second side to join with and at a second predetermined angle to the third side. The fifth side extends from a top of the first side and substantially parallel to the fourth side. The sixth side extends from a top of the second side to join with and at a third predetermined angle to the fifth side. As such, s straw can be formed by rolling the elastic sheet in a direction perpendicular to the third side.

A paper straw 10 is comprised of an elongated paper tube 30 and a bending structure 20 composed in the tube 30. The bending structure 20 is comprised of a plural stiff part 21 and a plural soft part 22 alternately turn around thereof and make a tubular form. The paper tube is made from paper or the material made from plant. The stiff part 21 may have a large thickness and the soft part 22 may have a smaller thickness.

A method for making a paper straw and includes a step of applying anti-bacterial and water-proof layer to both sides of a paper sheet; a step of flatting or scrolling the paper sheet to be round and tubular, and two sides of each paper sheet being overlapped to each other; a step of pressing and adhering the overlapped portion to form initial type of a paper straw; a step of drying the initial type of the paper straw to solidify the water-proof layer, and a step of cutting the initial type of the paper straw into multiple sections. The paper straw of the present invention is anti-bacterial, water-proof and is not deformed in liquid or beverage.

A corrugating machine for forming a flexible paper drinking straw by forming annular corrugations in a tube, including a plurality of corrugating elements and means for moving the tube against the corrugating elements. Each of the corrugating elements is spaced apart from each other in both a lateral direction and a forward direction. The corrugating machine includes an assembly spool and a drum mounted to a side of the assembly spool for rotation about a common axis. A mandrel is mounted to the drum for reciprocation into and out of the spool assembly, to carry the tube against the corrugating elements mounted in an arc defined about the common axis.

Proposed is an apparatus for manufacturing eco-friendly straws and, more particularly, an apparatus for manufacturing eco-friendly straws, which prevents environmental pollution by using wood as a raw material for easy recycling and waste treatment, and improves manufacturing efficiency and product quality by automatically performing all manufacturing processes. The apparatus includes a supply unit configured to supply a raw material, a processing unit configured to process the raw material, and a transfer unit configured to move the raw material supplied from the supply unit to a position for processing in the processing unit.

A machine (10) and a method for producing a tubular product (A), preferably made of paper, which can be preferably used to produce straws starting from one or more strip-shaped elements (B), by means of winding means (17) configured in a closed loop and partly wound around a shaping member (12) on which the one or more strip-shaped elements (B) are wound in a helical manner and by means of support means (20) configured as a support belt (22) disposed in a closed loop, made of flexible material, partly wound on the shaping member (12).

A paper straw for drinks is revealed. The paper straw includes a base material formed by a paper strip made from calcium carbonate. The base material is wound around an axis of a roller shaft obliquely and overlapped to form a hollow spiral tube whose two ends are communicated. Overlapped portions one over the other on the base material of the spiral tube are tightly connected. An apparatus and a method for shaping tubular elements (100), preferably made of paper, to make straws.
