Labels with Liner Separation Feature
A liner in a label-liner combination is provided with a die cut portion made in the liner. The die cut portion is aligned with at least one edge in a label and a front side of the liner is attached to a backside of the label. The die cut portion of the liner is adapted to be removed from the liner when the label is removed from the label-liner combination. Dimensions, and orientation, and a location of the die cut portion in the liner are adapted to allow the label to be removed from the label-liner combination and applied to a surface by digits of a hand without touching an adhesive coating on the backside of the label and adapted to maintain proper printer waste liner spool operations when the liner is wound after application of the label.
Method for forming a label web
A label web and method utilize a substrate, first and second longitudinally spaced label arrays each including two or more double-sided adhesive labels removably attached to the substrate, and a peelable protective covering web extending generally coextensive with the substrate. The label arrays and the peelable protective web are configured such that the peelable protective web is selectively removable to expose the first label array while remaining removably attached to the second label array, with both the first and second label arrays remaining removably attached to the substrate, to thereby facilitate removal of all labels in the first label array as a group while the peelable protective covering web remains in place over the second label array.
SYSTEM TO GENERATE SUPPLEMENT OR NUTRITIONAL FACT PANELS AND LABEL WARNINGS FOR PERSONALIZED NUTRITION PRODUCTS
Provided herein are systems and methods for generate Supplement Fact Panels and label warnings for personalized nutrition products.
PAPER, LABELS MADE THEREFROM AND METHODS OF MAKING PAPER AND LABELS
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.
PRINTING APPARATUS FOR PRINTING ON LABELS ON ROLL PAPER AND METHOD FOR DETECTING NUMBER OF REMAINING LABELS ON ROLL PAPER
In a printing apparatus for performing printing on labels of roll paper formed by winding a label sheet with the labels peelably attached to the label sheet, a label remaining number detecting unit, during a printing operation, determines a thickness of the label sheet from a length between the labels included in the label sheet fed out from a label sheet feed-out unit to a printing unit, the length being determined by a label length detecting unit while a distance to a cylindrical outer surface of the roll paper detected by a distance sensor.
GUTTER CENTERED DIE-CUT FOR IMPROVED SEPARATION OF ADHESIVE SIGNAGE
A process for cutting column and row gutters on multilayer signage media into individualized signage cards includes placing pre-die-cut slits at predetermined locations within the column gutters to assist a cutter in cutting completely through the multilayer signage media.
Apparatus for producing self-adhesive labels
An apparatus and method for producing self-adhesive labels, in particular in a self-service area, for example of a drug store, is provided. The apparatus comprises a dye-sublimation thermal printer, as a printing means for printing a printing pattern onto an adhesive film, and a cutting apparatus for cutting the adhesive film along a cutting pattern, the adhesive film being moved automatically from the printing means to the cutting apparatus. Initially, only a first moving unit of the printing means moves the adhesive film at a first speed to a second moving unit of the cutting apparatus, after which both moving units move the printed adhesive film further in the forward direction.
Label producing apparatus
The disclosure discloses a label producing apparatus including a driving roller, a driven roller, a driving force transmission mechanism, and a coordination adjusting mechanism. The driving roller is disposed to a downstream side of a movable blade on a tape feeding path and configured to contact and discharge a label tape. The driven roller is configured to advance and retreat with respect to the tape feeding path. The driving force transmission mechanism is configured to perform a switching operation between a transmission state where a driving force of a motor is transmitted to the driving roller and an interruption state where the transmission of the driving force to the driving roller is interrupted. The coordination adjusting mechanism is configured to adjust an advancing and retreating operation of the driven roller, an advancing and retreating operation of the movable blade, and the switching operation of the driving force transmission mechanism into a desired mutually coordinated-mode, these operations being performed by the driving force of the motor in accordance with a rotation of the motor in one direction.
Label, method for producing label, method for using label, and adherend having label
A label containing a base layer (A) and an adhesive layer (C) provided in contact with one surface of the base layer (A), wherein the base layer (A) contains a thermoplastic resin and at least one of inorganic fine powder and an organic filler, and the base layer (A) is stretched in at least one direction, and the film has an internal bond strength measured according to TAPPI T569 of from 0.4 to 0.95 kg.Math.cm on a side of the adhesive layer (C) and from 0.4 to 1.5 kg.Math.cm on a side opposite thereto, is easily recognized by the naked eye for the fact that the film has been peeled from an adherend, and is difficult to be restored by re-adhering after peeling.
DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING CUSTOM PRINTED PRODUCTS
A device, system and method for making custom printed products. In one embodiment of the method, an image is received from a user device along with a size of for the printed product. Pixel edge detection is performed on the image to generate a plurality of polygons corresponding to all shapes in the image. Polygons below a size threshold are removed. An offset is applied to each polygon. The polygons are combined. A smoothing algorithm is applied to the combined polygon. A set of curves that define the smoothed polygon is determined. A cut path is dynamically generating for the printed product in real-time in dependence on the set of curves and the received size so that the cut path has a shape dependent on the set of curves and a size dependent on the received size. The image is printed on a substrate material for the image product in dependence on the received size and the offset so that the printed image has a printed size equal to the received size less the offset. The substrate is cut in dependence on the cut path.
