SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet processing apparatus for performing binding processing for a sheet bundle formed from a plurality of sheets, comprises: an application unit configured to apply a liquid to a sheet wherein the application unit applies the liquid to an outermost sheet of the sheet bundle, and a static surface tension of the liquid is lower than a static surface tension of water; and a binding processing unit configured to bind the sheet bundle, without using a staple, wherein the binding processing unit includes a pair of groups of pressurizing teeth, and the pressurizing teeth clamp and pressurize the sheet bundle. In the sheet bundle, a liquid application region which is applied with the liquid and a pressurizing region which is pressurized by the pressurizing teeth are provided to overlap each other.
ABSORBENT STACK OF SHEETS HAVING COMPRESSED BINDING
Disclosed are stacks of absorbent sheets, such as paper towels, toilet tissue, napkins, facial tissue, and the like. The stacks generally comprise a plurality of absorbent sheets bound by compressing the sheets to form a binding element. The binding element is generally free from adhesives or mechanical fasteners, and acts to bind the sheets to one another and form the 5 stack. The binding element may be disposed along only a portion of the stack or may extend continuously across a first dimension of the stack Binding the stack in this manner generally results in individual sheets arranged in facing arrangement with one another without an adhesive disposed between them and as such the entire sheet may be used once it is dispensed from the stack.

Sheet binding processing apparatus and image forming system having the same
A sheet binding processing apparatus includes a binding device which performs a binding process on a sheet bundle stacked on a stacking unit and a sheet bundle set at a manual setting portion, the stacking unit stacking introduced sheets, a sheet bundle being set to the manual setting portion from an outside; a moving portion which moves the binding device to a first binding position for performing the binding process on a sheet bundle stacked on the stacking unit and a second binding position for performing the binding process on a sheet bundle set at the manual setting portion; and a controller which causes the binding device, in a case that the binding process is not performed on a sheet bundle stacked on the stacking unit, to wait due to the moving portion at a position different from the first binding position.

Binding unit, sheet processing device, and image forming device provided with them
To facilitate permeation of water when water is applied to the crimping range of a sheet made of a water-permeable paper material. A binding unit applies water to placed sheets and then crimp-binds the sheets. The binding unit includes a pair of pressure teeth (pressure teeth and receiving teeth part) provided on both the front and back sides of the sheets and configured to crimp-binding the sheets, a water reservoir provided on the back surface side of any one of the pressure teeth and configured to store water to be applied to the sheet, and a pressurizing member (piston) that pressurizes the water in the water reservoir to apply water to the sheet crimping range.

Binding apparatus and image processing apparatus
A binding apparatus includes: a set of binding parts configured to press and bind a bundle of recording materials from one side and a remaining side in a thickness direction; a first support part configured to support the bundle of recording materials from the one side by performing rotation toward the bundle of recording materials around a predetermined fulcrum; and a second support part configured to support the bundle of recording materials from the remaining side so as to face the first support part when binding is performed by the set of binding parts.

Container forming system and method
A bulk bin forming system configured as a container forming cell includes a multi-axis robot to which is attached a multifunction tool. One or more collapsed card board boxes are located at a first station of the container forming cell adjacent the robot. The robot and multifunction tool are configured to operate to grasp and move an individual box, orient and pre-form the box by folding flaps at a second station of the cell, and then move the box to a third station of the cell to mount the box to a support configured as a pallet to thereby form a bulk bin or bulk box container referred to as a gaylord container. The tool may include vacuum grippers for grasping the boxes and staplers for securing the formed box to the pallet, and may also be used to fold the bottom flaps prior to mounting the box to the pallet.
