Repair method of repair target portion, repaired product, and repair apparatus
The present invention sufficiently heats a repairing material while preventing change in quality of a base material provided with the repairing material so as to securely bond the repairing material to a repair target portion. The repair method of the present invention, in order to repair a repair target portion 14 existing in an outer panel 1, includes: a repairing material disposing step of disposing a repairing patch 21 including a resistance heating element 23 and a carbon fiber reinforced resin, and an adhesive 22A including a thermosetting resin before being hardened for bonding the repairing patch 21 on the repair target portion 14; and a heating-hardening step of heating and hardening the thermosetting resin of the adhesive 22A by causing the resistance heating element 23 to generate heat through supply of electricity thereto.
CARDBOARD WITH EDGE SEALED WITH MIXTURE OF HOT-MELT ADHESIVE AND WAX
Cardboard with edges sealed by a mixture of hot-melt adhesive and wax includes two surface sheets and an intermediate core material. The surface sheets have a pair of corresponding edges that form an edge opening therebetween communicating with the interstitial spaces in the cardboard and sealed by an edge-sealing structure in the interstitial spaces. The edge-sealing structure includes a primer layer formed by an adhesive mixture and a sealing layer formed by a sealing mixture. The adhesive mixture is made by mixing the hot-melt adhesive with the wax, adhesively bonds the surface sheets and the intermediate core material together, and forms the primer layer with voids and providing a porous supporting surface to be coated with the sealing mixture. The sealing mixture is less adhesive than the adhesive mixture and fills up the voids in the primer layer. Thus, the cardboard achieves waterproofness and thermal and acoustic insulation at low cost.
CARDBOARD SHEET-CUTTING DEVICE, CUTTING CONTROL UNIT THEREFOR, AND CARDBOARD SHEET-MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
Regarding a cardboard sheet-cutting device, a cardboard sheet-cutting control unit and a cardboard sheet-manufacturing apparatus, continuous cutting is made during job changes, in which the cardboard sheet cutting width changes, without stopping conveyance of the cardboard sheets, by a printing unit for printing cutting marks on a double-faced cardboard sheet; a slitter scorer for cutting the double-faced cardboard sheet to a specified width; a cutoff for cutting the double-faced cardboard sheet to a specified length; a mark detector for detecting cutting marks; a movement unit for moving the mark detector along the width direction of the double-faced cardboard sheet; and a cutting control unit for performing control to actuate the cutoff on the basis of the detection results of the mark detector and moving the mark detector using the movement unit on the basis of job-change timing data and post-job change mark position information.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CREATING CORRUGATED CARDBOARD ON-SITE OF SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMATICALLY FORMING PACKAGING BOXES
An apparatus to create corrugated cardboard on the site of a system for automatically forming packaging boxes for packaging an arrangement of one or more item(s) to be shipped, said corrugated cardboard having at least one corrugated layer between two flat layers, comprising at least two supply stations for supplying two different single-faced corrugated cardboards, each single-faced corrugated cardboard comprising a corrugated layer (having a closed side with an attached flat layer and an open side opposite to said closed side, a supply station for supplying a closing layer, a microprocessor communicatively coupled to obtain information on the arrangement to be shipped, the information relating to at least one of overall dimensions, weight, shape, shipping conditions, fragility, sensitivity to moisture, value, shipping destination, and the obtained information allowing selection, based on the obtained information, of at least one of said at least two different single-faced corrugated cardboards, and an attaching station that attaches the closing layer to the selected first single-faced cardboard to sandwich the corrugated layer between the flat layer and the closing layer.
LAMINATED MULTI-PLY TISSUE PRODUCTS WITH IMPROVED SOFTNESS AND PLY BONDING
Products having improved ply bonding, moldability and drape and methods for making those products are described. The methods comprise producing a multi-ply adhesively bonded product comprising a pattern of uniformly spaced microembossed elements with a bond area of less than about 0.020 inches/sq. inch.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMING DUAL FLUTED CORRUGATED BOARD
A method for making a dual fluted corrugated board includes providing a first single face corrugated board having a liner layer and a fluted layer attached to the liner layer and providing a second single face corrugated board having a liner layer and a fluted layer attached to the liner layer. The method also includes arranging the first single face corrugated board and the second single face corrugated board such that the fluted layers thereof face one another and attaching the first single face corrugated board to the second single face corrugated board.
Repulpable corrugated box and process for making same
A repulpable moisture resistant poultry box having a composite structure with a fluted medium, a top backing board secured to one side of the fluted medium and a bottom backing board secured to the other side of the fluted medium. The backing boards and the fluted medium are impregnated with a hydrogenated triglyceride. The backing boards each have an outer surface coated with an emulsion of hydrogenated triglyceride and styrene acrylic to provide moisture resistance repulpable and recyclable box.
Platen web splicer apparatus and method
Apparatus for splicing expiring and replenishing webs of a web material includes first and second spaced platens having respective facing inner surfaces defining a passageway for transit of the expiring web, where the platens are adapted for displacement toward and away from one another in a reciprocating manner. The first platen is adapted to engage an end of the replenishing web, while the second platen is adapted to engage and position the moving expiring web. Moving the platens together with their respective inner surfaces in close proximity to one another causes a cutting die on the first platen to sever the expiring web forming outfeeding and infeeding ends of the expiring web, and to attach the expiring web's outfeeding end to the replenishing web. Attached to the second platen in facing relation to the first platen and engaging the expiring web is an ironing pad to ensure firm contact and adhesion of expiring web to the replenishing web. During web splicing, the cutting die is transferred from the first platen to the second platen to free the replenishing web from the first platen, with the cutting die engaging and collecting or holding the expiring web's infeeding end.

SHIPPING MAILER WITH CORRUGATED MATERIAL HAVING ADHERED AND NON-ADHERED ZONES
A shipping mailer has a one-piece body with a first wall and a second wall that are folded together and sealed along sealed side edge portions of the one-piece body, the shipping mailer having a closed first end portion and a second end portion with an opening sealable by a closure. The one-piece body includes a single face corrugated material with a liner layer and a fluted medium layer, and has a center fold line at the closed first end portion from which the first and second walls extend. The fluted medium layer has a plurality of flutes extending parallel to the center fold line, and flutes of the first wall nest with flutes of the second wall. The flutes are crushed in the sealed side edge portions such that the crushed flutes interlock, and the first and second walls fold along inner boundaries of the sealed side edge portions.
