COMPOSTABLE CUTLERY
Compostable cutlery utensils made by forming a pliable composite sheet having an internal substrate of overlaying food-grade paper sheets of collective number and thickness suitable for making a required item of cutlery, the internal paper sheets each being coated with a settable food-grade adhesive substance, such as by being dipped into a bath of liquid glue, applying an outer covering of food-grade paper to each major external side of the substrate to form a pliable composite sheet, thereafter forming the shape of the utensil, such as by the use of a two-part mould in the collective shape and size of the required utensil, removing, such as by cutting, the formed utensil from the composite sheet before the adhesive has set, and thereafter allowing or causing the adhesive substance to set to thereby produce a rigid compostable cutlery utensil.
ASSEMBLY
An assembly comprises a device for producing a corrugated board web laminated on one side comprising a fluting device for fluting a first material web and a pressing device for pressing the glued corrugated web and a second material web against one another. The assembly comprises a first transverse position detecting device, upstream the fluting device, for detecting the first material web, a second transverse position detecting device, upstream the pressing device, for detecting the second material web and a signal processing unit, which is capable of actuating a unrolling device for unrolling the second material web so that in the device for producing a corrugated board web it is transversally displaced correspondingly.
Polyacrylic adhesive for use in tissue paper laminating
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a multi-ply tissue paper, wherein a first tissue is adhesively bonded to a second tissue using an aqueous, repulpable adhesive composition comprising an alkali soluble acrylic copolymer, The present invention also relates to a multi-ply tissue paper obtained by said manufacturing method.
LAMINATED MULTI-PLY TISSUE PRODUCTS WITH IMPROVED SOFTNESS AND PLY BONDING
Products having improved ply bonding, moldability and drape and methods for making those products are described. The methods comprise producing a multiply adhesively bonded product comprising a pattern of uniformly spaced microembossed elements with a bond area of less than about 0.020 inches/sq. inch.
Apparatus and method for creating corrugated cardboard on-site of systems for automatically forming packaging boxes
An apparatus to create corrugated cardboard on the site of a system for automatically forming packaging boxes for packaging an arrangement of one or more item(s) to be shipped, said corrugated cardboard having at least one corrugated layer between two flat layers, comprising at least two supply stations for supplying two different single-faced corrugated cardboards, each single-faced corrugated cardboard comprising a corrugated layer (having a closed side with an attached flat layer and an open side opposite to said closed side, a supply station for supplying a closing layer, a microprocessor communicatively coupled to obtain information on the arrangement to be shipped, the information relating to at least one of overall dimensions, weight, shape, shipping conditions, fragility, sensitivity to moisture, value, shipping destination, and the obtained information allowing selection, based on the obtained information, of at least one of said at least two different single-faced corrugated cardboards, and an attaching station that attaches the closing layer to the selected first single-faced cardboard to sandwich the corrugated layer between the flat layer and the closing layer.
Plant for automated packaging of items in cardboard boxes
A plant for automated packaging of items in cardboard boxes includes a forming station of open sheet boxes starting from a cardboard web, an item introduction system, a box closing station, and a feeding system. A cutting and creasing system at the forming station produces a longitudinal elongate element defining the bottom and top walls and a first pair of side walls of the box, and transverse panels providing the second pair of side walls. A first gluing system bonds the transverse panels to the elongate element by applying hot-melt strips on the side edges of the elongate element, and a pair of suction-cup manipulators applies the transverse panels on the elongate element at the glue strips to obtain a cross-shaped blank. The closing station includes a folding and automatic gluing system that folds and bonds the side walls and the top wall of the box to produce finished packages.
Laminated multi-ply tissue products with improved softness and ply bonding
Products having improved ply bonding, moldability and drape and methods for making those products are described. The methods comprise producing a multi-ply adhesively bonded product comprising a pattern of uniformly spaced microembossed elements with a bond area of less than about 0.020 inches/sq. inch.
CONTAINER WITH ADHESIVE INTERACTION PORTION, METHOD AND BLANK FOR FORMING THE SAME
The invention provides a method of forming a container for aerosol generating articles, wherein a blank comprising at least one panel is provided, wherein the surface structure of the panel is opened in a central adhesive receiving area, before or after a local height variation in the panel is created by embossing, wherein the local height variation extends as an outer fluid guide element at least partially at the outside of the central adhesive receiving area. The central adhesive receiving area and the outer fluid guide element form an adhesive interaction portion in the panel. The invention further relates to a blank for forming a container, wherein the blank comprises several panels, and wherein at least one panel comprises an adhesive interaction portion, and to a container for consumer goods, formed from an according blank.
METHOD OF MAKING AN ISOTHERMAL WRAPPING AND RELATED ISOTHERMAL WRAPPING
Described is a method for making a wrapping including the steps of providing a first paper layer; at least partly overlapping a second isothermal paper layer over said first layer; applying on said second layer a first and a second traction force acting in opposite verses of a same direction; heat-sealing said second and first layers defining said wrapping.
