Paper wrapping materials and method for a highly compressed product
Paper wrapping materials and method to securely wrap a rolled-up High Expansion Force product. The materials include a kraft paper layer encircling a circumference of the product with a leading end of the paper layer adhered to a tail end of the product by a first hotmelt adhesive. A tail end of the paper layer is adhered to a middle portion of the paper layer with a second hotmelt adhesive encircling the product. The paper layer has: (i) a Basis Weight from about 68 pounds per 3000 feet squared to about 84 pounds per 3000 feet squared, (ii) a Tensile Strength (MD) from about 55 pounds per inch to about 70 pounds per inch, (iii) a Stretch (MD) from about 7% to about 11%, and (iv) a fiber content of at least 70% virgin fibers. The second hotmelt adhesive is between about 15% and about 25% thermoplastic elastomer.

ADHERING DEVICE AND ADHERING METHOD
An adhering device and an adhering method that can check that an article has been pressed at a predetermined pressing force at a predetermined location when pressing and adhering the article to an adhesive surface. The adhering device presses and adheres an article to an adhesive surface. The adhering device comprises a pressure roller having an outer peripheral face that presses the article, at least one projection provided on the outer peripheral face, and a support body that rotatably supports the pressure roller so that a central axis of the outer peripheral face becomes an axis of rotation. Rolling the pressure roller on the article with an appropriate pressing force forms holes on the surface of the article, and it can be confirmed that the pressing was properly performed.

SHEET POST-PROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE PROVIDED WITH THE SHEET POST-PROCESSING DEVICE
A sheet post-processing device includes a conveying section that conveys a paper sheet; a punch section that punches punch holes in the paper sheet conveyed by the conveying section; a stacker section that stores the paper sheet in which the punch holes are punched by the punch section; a binding section that binds a paper sheet bundle stored in the stacker section with a binding member; and a controller that controls the above sections. The controller selectively performs a ring binding mode and a direct binding mode. The ring binding mode is a mode in which punch holes are punched in the paper sheet by the punch section and then the binding member is made to penetrate the punch holes for binding. The direct binding mode is a mode in which the binding member is directly driven into the paper sheet bundle without punching the punch holes in the sheet.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR SPLICING SHEET MATERIALS
A system for splicing together multiple sheets of generally rigid material into a continuous sheet. The system includes a cart with a cutting mechanism and a sealing mechanism. The cutting mechanism is configured to cut a pattern of segments through the sheet materials that can be interlocked to form a seam. The interlocking segments may include asymmetrical features. The sealing mechanism can apply tape to the seal to secure it. The splicing system may be used while one of the multiple sheets of generally rigid material is concurrently in use by a packaging machine without interruption to the packaging machine.
